So I recently purchased a few of these adapters for smd ics, however only one of the boards (circled in red) has an exposed eyelet for one of the pins
Is there a safe way to “punch out” these pin holes without damaging the boards or am I overthinking this? I need access to pins 4 and 8 for...
I imagine you’re up to your neck in builds but from what I remember reading on the Darkglass Omicron it’s (supposedly) emulating a Blackstone MOSFET into a Boss ODB-3, Jon Stockman’s bread and butter for a while
I’d love to know what the two distortion circuits look like in the omicron, as I no...
Thanks for the insight! I feel more comfortable with the Optocoupler I had chosen now.
The main reason I was looking for ducking was for the placement shown in this short:
I used to own a Light Pedal and I used it very much like the above demo, albeit before distortion pedals instead of an...
I had to go down the rabbit hole to replace that part but I THINK I can use a GL5516 from the pedalpcb store in series with a resistor (5-7k ish) to get to the right “light” resistance. I haven’t received my pcb either, and this photo-resistor is the only problem part for my large queue of...
I think mine shipped earlier this week so I’ll see what I can do! You’re correct, no drill template, but I really like it when a circuit is described and explained at length via a blog post or documentation.
I’m considering adding a “key input” so I can place the reverb wherever I like in the...
Disappearing Act
Waiting on the materials for this to come in but what really set this one apart is the ducking capability. Uses an 800ohm tank if I’m not mistaken and the build documentation is VERY thorough
Been sitting on this pcb for a couple of weeks, thinking of doing the blend pot and LED clipping mods outlined in the build documents. Thanks for the demo!
Reading this post had me nervously double-checking a recent (and first!) order from Smallbear but fortunately everything was there. It was a 7 SKU order with mainly ICs and some odds and ends. I’ve had good experiences with Amplified Parts so I’ll make a point of trying to order anything I can’t...
Been going down the rabbit hole with the pcbs on their website, just wow! Not sure how I feel about the high gain stuff but the King Nothing PCB caught my eye as well. Your design with the woodblock print looks fantastic btw
Now that you mention it how would someone go about making something like this at home? I imagine you could adhere the copper plate to something translucent then laser-engrave up to a certain depth, but that’s way beyond my skill set atm
