Looks like the appropriate instrument to run into those.I have, in fact, run 2 HM-2s but I don't recommend itView attachment 24908
Sure is. It's an '86 that I bought when no one cared about bc rich. Now they're crazy moneyLooks like the appropriate instrument to run into those.
I had some mild adhesion issues on this first batch. You can see it on the bottom of the outline on the pedal on the right. The gold foil stuff is way harder to get right than the regular no film because it involves making the gold foil design and then sandwiching it to the no filmThose look killer! Looks like you've got the gold foil down.
You're not wrong!Looking good, but could straighten that left footswitch
I kept clicking back and forth between the two and they were basically identical for all I can tell. Before these are gone, I wanted to record a quick clip comparing one of my builds to one of my original MIJ HM-2s

It's been said here before. If your promethium doesn't sound like the real thing, there's a build errorI kept clicking back and forth between the two and they were basically identical for all I can tell.
Hot damn! Tight grapes indeed!Same old story- I started these a year ago, had a baby, blah blah, they're finally done. Still from my first batch of gold foil no film, which is hard af to photograph. They sound just like my original MIJ HM-2s. I like em. As we say in my house- tight grapes

I've never heard the expression "tight grapes" before. No idea.
The grapes (HM-2s) are so tight together that they're virtually indistinguishable from one another? A mass of grapes so tight they may as well be one entity, ie the same?
Hmmm, "tight grapes"... pressed into wine?
[Searches google...]
Okay, ripe but not over-ripe.
[Looks at OP's pics...]
Still, a curious characterisation in the context of this chronicle.
I had never heard that expression until you said but, this is exactly how I interpreted it! I’m so glad I got that right
