This sounds niiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

First board by MBP, so thank you very much @bean for making this fit into a 125b, for making it work with a regular power supply, and for providing a mouser cart so I didn't accidentally buy caps that were too tall! This was also my first double-decker board and it was a lot more straightforward than I thought. Went pretty slowly getting all the components in, double checking everything as I went. I did the impedance mod as outlined in the build doc, and opted for a pot instead of the switch for chorus/vibrato. Also went for true bypass wiring rather than stock.

My biggest challenge was my dodgy hand drilling for the top jacks. If you look closely in the guts pic you can see evidence of the filing I did to try and fix what I thought was a problem (turns out it wasn't and I just hacked my enclosure up for nothing). Wiring this thing seemed to be the most fiddly aspect for me. I ended up with most of them going under the audio board. And if the top jack hack job wasn't shameful enough, I'm embarrassed to admit I thought I'd botched boxing it up, only to find out after troubleshooting and unscrewing everything that I'd just misaligned the boards and missed a pin.

I calibrated things by ear to start with, and most of the trimmers are pretty close to the middle with the exception of the clock (closer to a third). I bought a cheap scope to refine things, but I'm still working out how to use it and knowing what I'm looking for.

I haven't played an original or new memory man, but this sounds just like I was hoping it would. The regular delay sounds fantastic, and I like the modulation on the less sea-sick side. I can see why @MichaelW has two on the go - it still sounds so good with the delay nearly at 0 and the depth and modulation cranked. Also thank you to Michael, who's build reports on these and related Tourbus/Total Recall were how I first found out about these.

Blue enclosure and UV printing from Tayda, knobs from Lovemyswitches, vector of the Winged Victory - one of the coolest sculptures on the planet - by some generous guy from Indonesia. I like these aluminum knobs, but the pointer on this silver is a bit hard to see from certain angles. With all the above and the MN3005s, it's probably the priciest DIY job I've done, but it sounds worth it to me!
