Elysium Ambient Delay - Time pot noise

I recently built the Elysium Ambient Delay/EM5 Echo Machine. My only issue is the delay control (b50k) makes a static-y noise if it's parked at 12oclock. A little turn either direction and it goes away. I tried replacing the pot and putting some electrical tape under it but it persists. Any ideas on the cause? Is this just part of the circuit?

It might not be the issue but Electrical tape under the pots isn’t usually good enough to do the job. Especially over time. You need plastic pot covers or at least something thicker than tape on the back of the pot. Some people stick or glue a little piece of thin cardboard but I wouldn’t recommend that as it’ll fall off over time. Pot covers are the smartest way to go. Super cheap and never fall off.

if you have a 3d printer or a buddy that does.... I designed a pot cover for dual pots but I end up using them all the time for singles as well....

I need a 3D printer just for stuff like this. I don’t mind buying the ones from this website but those look like they fit nice.
