Pitch Shifter example

Hi! Has anyone implemented a pitch shifter on the daisy? I used the DSP lib but it has latency and a tremolo like effect. Did anyone else experience this?

The daisy pitch shifting library uses a time-based doppler pitch shifting approach (same approach as FV-1 I think). What you're describing are the shortcomings of that technique unfortunately. Other methods of pitch shifting are super complex to implement, I started looking into it much like you're doing now and realized that it's outside of my pay grade

I ended up going down the rabbit hole of looking up different algorithms but truth is I need to give it some time I think. Doesn't look that straightforward tho.

Pitchshifting algorithm uses 2 interpolated delay lines, so it introduces delay by design. You can change its amount here: I would expect shorter delay buffer sizes to add more artifacts, but current value is surprisingly big - I think it would give you 340ms latency. That PitchShifter...
