SOLVED Maleficent Mids - farting/no sound

I have no ideia what could have happened wrong in such a simple build

- bypass works
- led works when pedal is on
- "low" switch position only has a really low volume sound if cranked
- "high" switch position has volume, but the effect doesn't work

my suspicious: is not specified on the doc, but I assumed it was a on-on switch; i am right or it is an on-off?

On/On switch.

When you plug it in, do the tabs on the in/out jacks touch the back of the pots? And does your dual B100k have any insulation on the back?

In and out are not touching the pots, but the dual gang is!! thank you very much, this might be the problem!!!

it was the dual gang pot!
I removed it and insulated and the pedal worked!!

They are notorious enough for causing this problem that there’s a board for it

oh, nice to to know that this exists!
I used insulation tape, it was enough to conclude what was the problem, but the pedal is making a "bitcrushed" hum
maybe 2 ou 3 layer of tape wasn't enough; maybe the pointy solders are tearing tiny scratches on the tape which current is passing through;
next time I order from pedalpcb I'll buy this pot insulator and try to save this pedal with a brand new dual gang pot (since I had to rip-off the lugs of this one in order to remove it from the pcb )

Salvage a piece of plastic from a lid of Icecream or yoghurt & slide that under the pot.
Insulation tape has failed many times on the Forum!
