"standard" knob set screw thread pitch?

Looking to make some of my grab box knobs usable and wondering what the thread pitch for the set screws is. I know it's not 100% universal, but looking for something I can use with those style of knobs (my impression is guitar knob set screws are much larger, so not looking for those). Sorry if this was covered, but I searched set screw in multiple ways without any luck.

Measuring ones from my Davies clones seems to be 3mm diameter (little under). I'm not the best with mechanical engineering. Is that M3 × 0.5 mm ? or finer than that?

Thanks.

~13 US cents / piece for basic 18-8 stainless - 100 piece packs

found these on beezosmart, but if I'm spending that per piece, I'd rather go all in and buy US made from McMaster-Carr

Not to poopoo it because I love the idea of bezos with less money, but those screws on Mcmaster Carr aren't US made.

Origin: "Belgium, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Peoples Republic Of China, Philippines, Poland, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam"

Still I'd rather give them the money, or a local hardware store.
