Effects Layout Oscillot: Good Kitty...

I've had this one in the backburner for a couple of years. Finally, we have lift off. First 1590B I've done in some time. Kinda wanted to go even smaller, but meh. No sense in getting crazy.

I'm a cat guy. I'm also a "boy, humanity isn't great a lot of the time" guy. So, I find a particular joy in depicting cute, cuddly animals brutally eviscerating people. Because it makes me smile.

The pedal itself is a clone of the earth sound research graphic fuzz. It oscillates. A lot. Any time you're not playing, really.

It's also very unpredictable. Every now and then you get a little drop out, a little bit of a fuzzy abnormality, that tends towards being quite musical and rather interesting.

It's not super versatile...really a one-trick pony. Honestly, it would be super interesting to have the filter pot be controllable by an expression pedal, as one could ride that to "tune" the frequency of the oscillation.

Anywho, getting back into making pedals after my near finger amputation. Ta daaaaaaa

Love this build, 'cause I love the circuit;
and Cat-related graphics = loads of love;
gotta LOVE non-boring control labels;
a suggestion on how to make the circuit even more fun (expression-filter) the rest of us can steal — heaps on the love;
and a builder-pal saying "#$%^&* YOU ADVERSITY!" and getting back to building and build-reports spells L O V E...

... what's not to love*?

Side Jacks 😜
😸

Back to playing as well, I hope? 🤞

Lol! Yeah, I wasn't confident in my abilities to hand-drill the top jacks on the smaller enclosure. Need to get my drill press moved to the new house.

Playing is a bit...well, I've been able to noodle. A lil. My index finger is a bit stiff at the last joint, and it hurts a bit to bend it through it's whole range of motion. Just need to stretch it out, get those muscles to re-build themselves.

Gotta get back in shape so I can work towards doing audio demos of builds. And wheedles. No *ows" allowed during wheedles.
