Bonjour

Just got my protoboard, going to build it out this week, still waiting for a part from Tayda that should be here any day now. (Holds breath)

What is everyone using for a backer for these? I have seen some on cutting boards but was thinking something a little more sleek. Maybe find some black expanded pvc? Just curious to see what the rest of y'all are doing.

Thanks!

So, this would be from a pure aesthetic standpoint since the protoboard already has a ground plane in it. I personally have this screwed onto a piece of plywood with some rounded/beveled edges from my router. This was simply so I could pick it up easier. Plus, wood adds a little bit of weight to it.

I didn't think of heat resistance.....

A friend is the ops manager at a print shop and they could cnc me a peice of 1/2 sintra (expanded pvc) but that probably wouldn't hold up the the heat.

Looks like I am hitting up the Ikea kitchen section!
