Here is another video, two f%$king weeks in a row! Woot woot! The rangefinder boost, airbrushed wicked red, painted yellow monster and a half assed clear coat attempt. This is early in my building and the start of what was to become my “style”….cough…pompous douche…..cough…..

This was filmed in a series of three boost pedals and had some of the gnarliest untamed boost tones. The Mercurial boost (last weeks video) was wonderful add cutting low end and adding sparkle into the signal, dubbing it the great subtractor. This one is a ravaging feral cat boost, really wicked and punishing on the front end of the 18 watt amp. Next week is the betty boost, which is a totally different pig.

It can be nasty for sure, but it depends on the setup. I think it works best with loose and bassy amps, preferrably without bright cap or with the gain on the amp up high and the volume on the pedal low. That way the lower value caps are more usable and make for some nice and creamy classic rock tones.
