Again, a pedal for my friends means a pedal done up. Tried some ideas with spray paint, and I discovered that the clear coat makes marker run, but the overall effect turned out okay I think. A bit busy in the design. I should have kept the pedal name between the two rows of knobs.

This one works in columns: left governs modulation provided by a wave form generator (XR2206): knobs are rate of modulation, extent of modulation wave expressed (mislabelled as mod volume), and square/sine wave switch. Middle column governs the delay, knobs are delay volume, time, and feedback/ repeats, with a wet/ dry switch. Right column is master volume and fuzz (which is I think is just a gain).

Foot switches from the right are bypass, fuzz, and momentary self-oscillation. I rewired the fuzz to bridge the modulation extent pot on pins one and three so that it governs modulation on/off. Much more useful than a fuzz switch since cutting fuzz drops the volume and you have to adjust the volume pot.

As usual, the Moonn off-board wiring is a bit messtacular what with the crossed board ins/outs, external grounds, and the all-offboard LEDs. I also misdrilled the enclosure a bit so the orientation is a bit canted, probably because my midline was off. 4 stars for that--although I'm not super clear on whether the stars are for the build experience, the PCB design, or the builder implementation.

Overall, one of my stated top five pedals. Evocative dreamlike delay and modulation fun times with lofi tinges. Highly recommended.

Are you in the US? I ordered some PCBs from them almost a month ago and haven't received any tracking info, nor have I gotten a response back from them about updates on where they're at. Curious what your experience was like getting the pcbs.

Last I read he was getting a 2nd person to help with the backlog. It took quite a while to get my PCBs (I’m in the US), but several months later I eventually did get them.

oh, I meant to comment on the build report too. That is cool! I have this board, I was thinking about putting it in a 1590XX so I would have more room for 3 foot switches. But the layout is definitely more attractive in a 1590BB

He takes a long time. It's cool, he gets them out eventually. He's an eccentric dude, but he's a good egg. Everything I've ordered has eventually arrived, and then some. Try emailing again. Don't forget his board ins and outs are reversed from PPCB SOP.

Thank you. Def. good in 1590BBS. It's just a lot of drilling and the LEDs are a bit tight [edit: if you have a penchant for extravagant bezels]

Great pedal build, and would like to see more of that GEEtar. Cool inlays.
Thank you! It's a Yamaha Revstar RSS02T.

They also come in a humbucker flavor and different colors. The Yamaha BB series also has the same style inlays, but flat ceramic white, if you're interested in the bass thing. Here's my model (735a), but now they've branched out into some finishes other than flat black and sunburst. I would've bought the red.

As with almost all Yamaha stuff, the Revstar is an amazing guitar and the price isn't shabby at all--SS frets, carbon fiber reinforcement in the neck, impeccable fit and finish, and a pretty interesting switching arrangement and push-pull knob configuration using a transformer to change the resonant frequencies and push more volume and mids. Some folks don't see the use, but I know exactly what it's for--pushing amps and pedals into clipping land!

Both recommended!

Wish there was a tele configuration.

Wish there was a tele configuration.
Meaning? Like a 3-pole switch and single coils, or a tele style body?

I have to add the necks are really great.

[edit:] I forgot to say that there was an earlier generation or two of the Revstars, and the bodies are a bit slimmer and the push-pull pot does different things--I think it's a straight treble bass cut. I also forgot to say that the new edition of the Revstars have super nifty computer-designed chambering in the bodies and they are *incredibly* resonant. I like to hit chords and just put my ear up against the back of the guitar and listen to it reverberate.

735 are a bit more jazz than P-style neck. I can't stand J necks, but it works in a 5 string format for me and my girthy digits

AHHH I DO LIKE THOSE YAMMIES!

No need for H'Buckers, I'd take the P-90s in that same purpley-burgundy colour you have, or ceramic white.
Bass would be a looker in white, too!

VERY interested in the transformer — seems like something Frank Zappa would've been interested in, too. Haven't looked online yet, but wondering if the schematic for that is available, would be cool if it was able to be boxed into a pedal and thus able to use it with any guitar.

ANYWHO... BACK to your pedal — simple and cheerful graphics really look great, that needs to be reiterated.

I'd ordered the Drömtydning just before the postal-strike; I'm hoping it wasn't sent out for delivery and got lost in the slush-pile of backlogged mail.
Want to do "all the mods", too, but I've got big feet and all three stompers look to be a tight squeeze.

Black, amber fade, burgundy, and Blue are the only colors for the RSS-2T Revstar. There is a white in the humbucker version, though.

Here are is a speculative schematic from https://guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/9930/revstar-new-tone-control. They have gutshots in the thread.

And thank you for the feedback. The 3 pedals stomp switches aren't as much an issue for me (size 11s and also girthy toes), but I could see how people would want the extra real estate of a 1590XX. If you get the always-off momentary single pole from stompbox parts, the switch sits proud a 1/4-1/2" above the normal 3pdt, so the staggering helps.

I definitely would recommend the modulation-off mod. The fuzz-off mod is not useful since you have to then reach down and turn up your volume.

I have a RS620, my favorite guitar!

Oh yeah, I meant the inlays are ceramic white (i.e.: not abalone). The Broadbasses come in different flavors, but I think the 700 series are the best trade off between $ and performance (and I wanted to try a preamp bass and also a 5 string): they have coffee sunburst, matte black (cool because no fingerprints), and I think a new brick red version. the 200 and 400 series have more/different colors, but they also stick with trad. dot inlays.

Also, the Revstars can be found for a pretty good deal on Reverb and abouts. The reviews are basically: this guitar sounds awesome in positions 1, 3 and 5 with the push/pull pot in, and it sounds bad anywhere else--so people are like modding them to remove the circuitry. I think their point of reference is cleans, and that, to me, is NOT the primary use-case for positions 2 and 4 and the transformer mid/volume boost. It sounds AWESOME pushing an edge of breakup or in the context of an overdrive/distortion/fuzz. Like, have you never heard AC/DC? Or Matt Pike?
