3n3 is NOT the same value as a 33n film capacitor?

Correct. The logic behind it is that putting the 'n' where the dot/period should be is more clear at smaller print sizes: 3n3 since 3.3n could be read as 33n. It's done with resistors in schematics as well, e.g. 4k7 instead of 4.7k

i have been carefully looking up values, it can be very easy to place wrong value, i noticed i ordered a couple wrong piece i am re ordering this hobby really requires to pay close attention to detail!

Once you understand the basics, the building process then becomes second nature since you'll know what you're looking for. Take your time and ask plenty of questions.
