Kalundra OD (Vemuram Karen) - What a great pedal!

I've been amazed at just how good the Kalundra sounds, and how versatile it can be. I have made a few simple mods to mine which make it even more usable (for me) as I am no shredder or user of high gain.

All I have done is get rid of the Width pot and R6, change R4 to 10K and change the Gain pot to A500K. I did change the values of R9 and C6 slightly because I don't have those values on hand (to 150K and 120pF) and it sounds absolutely killer. Oh, and I simply used 1N4148s for D1 & 2. So really basic, simple mods which tally with my abilities...

I'm very impressed with the sound and touch response of this OD. I have also made a 4-knob version by adding a Bass knob. The Bass knob doesn't do a lot but it doesn't need to.

If anyone is sitting on the fence about this one I can very much recommend it. And I have excellent taste.

Thanks for the recommendation. Did you omit the width trimmer or jump it?

Just leave it and R6 off.

Fuuuuccckkkk!!!! I’ve had this in my fail bin for about a year, kept squeezing like a banshee, now it sounds killer, thank you!
