Finished up the Xenotron today. Wowsers. All I can say is take your time. It has a lot of parts and they are specific to which side of the board they go on. Is the pedal cool? I think so. Will it be on my everyday board? Maybe. It was more of a challenge to myself to see if I could do it. I will be honest it wasn’t awful to build. The wiring on the other hand sucks ass. I don’t like all the grounding but it’s what it is. I used a little board that I made to make all the grounds a little better where they attach at the power jack. So how does it sound. First run and calibration thoughts? I like it. I ended up having to go closer to 1030 instead of the 1145 starting point for bbd calibration. It was very distorted at first. Once I hit 1030 perfect. The regen I left at 2. I am not going to pretend I know what everything does but it has potential. I did not try the loop yet but I plan on try some delays in temper the recommendation. Bottom line? Is it for everyone? No. If you want a challenging build (kinda pricey too) and a cool modulation effect when you are done try it. Take your time though. I imagine troubleshooting this thing would be a bitch. I am also posting my drill template below. It worked great. The jacks are super tight to get into place. I did use stompboxparts jack though and not the mouser ones. They may be the difference.
