Testing op amps

Hello there!

A buddy of mine is a luthier, and the guy who had the space next door passed away(He was mid late 80s) The neighbor built biofeedback systems and some pretty odd experimental stuff. When his kids were clearing out the space, my friend grabbed what he thought I could use and there was a lot.

There are carbon comp resistors, diodes, germanium and silicon transistors and some op amps like 3 LM308Ns.

What’s the easiest or best way to test op amps before using them in a build?

Thanks!

I bought one of these when I was working on an ARP 2600 that had a bunch of failed op amps.

I imagine there are schematics around for something similar.

That guy has a bunch of videos on synth repair that were super helpful to me, so I was happy to throw him a few bux.

If you're socketing your op-amps, you could always just test em in a pedal too.
