Most elegant way to sub potentiometer with internal trimpot

I am building an Aion Flare for a bassist friend but it has too many pots
I'd like to move the tone and the soft control on the inside
I could fly solder the legs of the trimmer but it's not particularly nice
Two little pieces of stripboard maybe?
Maybe someone else has got a different idea?

I'd attach one leg of the trimmer to the matching pot leg location and fly the other two with small wires/jumpers; then add a touch of hot glue or Alien Tape to stabilize. Nice is not always as important as function IMO.

Use the LEGACY PCB, and you can just make the 9mm pot a 9mm internal trimpot mounted on the component side (it'll rotate backwards, but no matter)...

ANOTHER OPTION...

Choose a 3-Legged Multi-turn Trimmer...

Too much turning to tune?

BETTER
Make TONE and SOFT offboard wired 9mm pots that go above the top jacks, then they'll still be available to tweak without having to open up the enclosure.

BEST...
Go to a larger enclosure and add MORE controls. So far, my Flare has an uneven Baker's Dozen knobs, 3 toggles and an extra stomper...

I like to use pin headers to support a daughterboard with the trimpots - and position them next to the lid for easy access.
Mini pedals don't require the use of a pin header - and it works very well with dip switches.

These have a 8.8mm span between leg 1 and 3. 16mm pots are 10mm I believe, so a slight bit of bending may be needed.
Could possibly bend the legs and mount flush with the board

These may also work:

There are also panel moun5 trimmers with solder lugs. 3-5mm hole size and screwdriver adjustment. You could mount these on the side of the enclosure. Would be set and forget but easily accessible. I can't find a valid part number but I have some, so I know they exist.
I'll check mine for data later if interested.

Maybe that’d be a nice idea for a new pedalpcb utility board (pot->trimmer)
You mean, like, something like, a Tweakit!

😸
I did not know about these... have to add some Tweakit!s to my next order.

The spacing on the tweakit looks like about 0.1”, not the 0.2” of the pot pins on the pcbs. So you’d have to bend the connector legs. Still very doable. If the spacing was wider you could use pin headers
