Finally finished this one up after a total failed first attempt on my part, but the second try is so worth it. Thanks to Chuck for his work here - tone sculpting capabilities are fantastic, especially the dynamics control and mids toggle, which both give a great range of tonal options IMHO. Really like this circuit!

Enclosure and ripple knobs are from Tayda, and the graphic is Cricut vinyl.

Highly recommended for someone looking for a JFET overdrive with some less than common tonal settings.

You and I must have similar tastes because almost every pedal you build I have in the queue lol!
I’ll build any project, even doomer stuff. I’m an aging GenXer, and by no means a chugger but I like trying new sounds and taking on new challenges. I recently finished Aion’s Flange With No Name and so proud to have been successful with that one. My wife just rolls her eyes because I show that pedal to everyone who comes over to the house 🤣

You and VanWhy have been an inspiration. Both of you guys have done some absolute killer builds! What you did with the Ungula with those military style knobs over the matte black box was really nice. Makes me want to keep getting better with my aesthetics planning.

Much appreciated! I didn’t think my humble builds would inspire anyone lol! I just try to make them look nice because the lack of graphics really isn’t all that inspiring! However I’m starting to run out of enclosure/knob configurations and schemes. I’m gonna have to get a computer one of these days a learn to do graphics!

BTW-I finished the Skylight Od last night, another that you’ve done I believe, and it got the better of me the first time. Second time was a charm. It’s a great feeling when you succeed on a previously failed attempt!

Regarding graphics, I use (or rather my wife does it for me) a Cricut Joy, which is a machine that looks like a small printer that can cut vinyl decals. To find my graphics, I use Google to search for icons and/or symbols for the theme I’m going for that usually have something to do with the pedal name (JHS style). For example, next week I’m planning on building the Effects Layouts Jetpack, so I found a jetpack icon that’ll work ok.

I hear ya about second tries - seems to be part of the hobby sometimes. Now that I corrected the Hebridean failed first attempt, I’m working on a second try with Aion’s Boss BF-2 clone and their Lovetone Meatball, both of which I FUBARed on the first go around and didn’t have much success troubleshooting.
