A pedal that’s a cross between a Tube Screamer and a Klon? I’ve got to have it !
So I was really happy, when I saw, that Pedal PCB offers a Mori Drive kit.

Build was easy, cause I already have to say it. The Pedal PCB Layout is absolutely top notch and my favourite layout when it comes to building guitar pedals.

I made a mistake with my UV print, or rather, a drilling mistake. I used my Mach 1 template, but I forgot, that I took the footstamp 3mm above the usual.
Then the disaster started. I was really pi**ed about my dumb mistake, when I received the pedal.

Next disappointment was the first test. I don't like it. Not my cup of tea. Can't really describe what I don't like, but it was like ... okay:
Two possibilities: you’ll sell it, or it will sit unused in the cupboard forever.
So five stars for the layout and two stars for the sound.

If you can work out what it is that you don't like there is a good chance that we can help you to make a couple of changes which will make it suit you better. I just had a look at the schematic and see that it has a 1µF input cap. Maybe he was trying to add some Zen Drive to the sound? Does it sound a bit fuzzy/indistinct on the attack?

I'll never understand modifying a four knob pedal like a Timmy to have only three knobs by removing the bass pot. I spend a lot of my time doing the opposite!
 
It's literally just a YATS with assymetrical clipping right?.... You might not vibe with tube screamers in general..... They are very mid honky and I prefer to klon over a yats for the mid heavy drives... This circuit apparently shares nothing with a klon other than the knobs as mentioned in previous threads. Still a kick@ss looking build though.... I'm building one out soon as well.

I use a Tubescreamer 95% of time, when I work with high gain amps as tone shaper, while Recording or reamping.
What you described hit the point. For me it has a weird sound, which is too less for a fuzz and too much for an overdrive. I think it sounds a bit dull. My englisch is not good enough to explain it right. Even as a tone shaper for my high gain tones it don't fit well.

I'm really curious what you guys will say @OD is Glorious @Frostbite Slim
