One things for sure after this and my last couple of builds…switches are a PITA when you have so many knobs.

On to the build. I’m a little surprised by this one as I wasn’t expecting to like it much. I figured it’d be too much TS for me but it’s more Timmy than TS. I can’t tell a huge difference between the switches on or off and I haven’t quite wrapped my head around the “Saturation” control but it sounds good! Not worth 3 grand but good lol. I really wanted to put it in a gold enclosure but unfortunately used it on my last build. In the end I recommend this build for somebody looking for a Timmy with options.

@bluedmc777 - I haven't built this circuit, but I have built Chuck and HamishR's "successor", the Timbre Man. Loosely speaking, the Timbre Man is a Timmy with a mids knob. Looks like my build was back in 2023. I've long since sold that pedal (and gave away all the old PCBs). But I literally just revisited the Timbre Man circuit, my v2.0 PCBs should be delivered this week.

I’ve always been interested in the Timbre Man but am always intimidated with layouts that have a different in/out switching scheme that differs from PPCB or Sheepylove. 😂 It’s what I know and easy for me cause I can just use buss wire to the board. Takes me no time and is easy. I was gonna start working on an Aion Fx board I bought earlier and got to looking at it and the daughter board and thought “what is this shit”! I don’t wanna re-learn something lol. Guess I’m just lazy. Why make it so complicated?

This pedal actually does sound pretty good. Before building it the Lollar Overdrive (Cast Iron) with its mid knob was my favorite Timmy variant but this may give it a run for its money. The Acer Od is another nice one. However the best Timmy clone ever is still the Caline Pure Sky! I put some mileage on that pedal. 😂 It and the Orange Burst (BB Preamp) clone were both killer. While I’m on subject the Pressure Tank (Diamond Comp) clone is STILL my comp of choice!

The TSV808 definitely has more inherent mids than the TimbreMan. My Timber sounds pretty different from the TSV808. As unintuitive as the TSV808 is, (808 mashup with an 808 derivation) in practice it actually does a fantastic job as a "dirty amp pusher". I like it better than either the stock 808 or stock Jan Ray.
