How to make a clean blend?

I can't make it easy to read without heavily simplifying things, but that shouldn't matter TOO much I don't think. The relevant parts are there.

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

Your English is so good! I had no idea English was not your first language, and I assumed you were from the USA. I'm sorry about that, and doubly so if you mentioned it elsewhere. Your most reliable source might be eastern Europe, via the EBay sellers other builders mentioned.

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

You inspired me to make progress on an abandoned project. This is the Fuzz Face half of an "all you need" classic drive section. The other half will be a Rangemaster

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

Hear, hear. My homemade Ge board is a studio tool. Works best at 20°C

This Week on the Breadboard: Phase 90

@Chuck D. Bones Just coming by to say how impressive it is that you know how to do this stuff. I feel like a wizard knowing how to read basic boost schematics and breadboard them, but this is the kind of stuff I really want to learn and be doing. Thanks for all the help so far! I would have...

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

It's the leakage thing. Even really crappy leaky Ge transistors will at least make a useable boost, but get it in a Fuzz Face and all of a sudden both transistors are impossible to bias. There's also the consideration that you MUST breadboard, 99% of the time will need alternative component...

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

I would start with Si transistors. They work predictably. Ge transistors can be a huge pain in the ass.

I need a good first tube project

Would that be permissable to upload here?

I need a good first tube project

See title - I want to build my first tube project, but the barrier to entry is high. All the forum resources are 20 years old, and nobody sells a kit for less than a complete unit. So, who has learning resources? I figure it would be best to start with a simple amplifier, like we do with...

    Can’t have a foot switch.

I use DPDT toggles for this, without an LED.

How to make a clean blend?

To see how these things work, I moved my "Little Muff" to the bottom half of the breadboard, and built an LPB-1 on the top half. The trimpots are 500K, and they're in place of what will be the "Clean" and "Fuzz" pots. Signal goes in to lug 3, comes out of lug 2, and shunts to ground via lug 1...

How to make a clean blend?

That's a good idea! I was thinking of making a clean buffer to go to the Clean pot. Then, the Muff Fuzz input buffer to the Muff Fuzz to the Fuzz pot. These would both feed to a Master pot. Kinda like a ZVex Super Duper, but not.

How to make a clean blend?

I thought I was clever, and had a great idea. I made an input buffer, and an output buffer. To see what would happen, I connected the output of the input buffer directly to the input of the output buffer. I then connected the output of the input buffer to the input of a Muff Fuzz, and the output...

SUPA FUZZ how to led and 9v jack?

Your 9VDC connector would be where the battery clip currently is. If you want both, it's a little more complex. For the LED, yes, you want a 3PDT stomp switch. I like the Madbean stomp switch wiring scheme, but there are others that work too. You'll also need a hole for the LED, and leads to...
