SOLVED Acrobat - filter section not working

It's here https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/acrobat-parametric-distortion.24265/page-2 Sorry, it was for the height pot I traced, not the Q selector. Yeah, I think you'd have to be able to see the traces on the other side to suss out if there is a continuity issue. But you could just run a...

SOLVED Acrobat - filter section not working

Well, you can see them, particularly out of box. If you search, I helped with some traces of the switch in another acrobat troubleshooting thread.

SOLVED Acrobat - filter section not working

Well, might be the rotary Or traces thereof. Sounds like the other knobs are working, and the q is what's missing. I've also broken rotaries installing them into enclosure (crack).

    Schematics missing from the store

Yes I remember your thread, as well as your contributions to my low tide thread. II couldn't remember if you were working off the schematic, though

    Schematics missing from the store

As Nostradoomus points out, use the search function, you can often find what you need. Low tide is one of those, and you will definitely want to read the troubleshooting threads in any case. (Maybe that's why Robert doesn't post that particular schematic) Brain Drain, you've definitely seen...

SOLVED Acrobat - filter section not working

Just to make sure: the effect is hard to detect in some settings i.e. in the widest q (CCW selector) position and/or with height (right knob) near noon. The fact you are getting signal cut in the height may flag a working pedal because that's what it does. Test to make sure: distortion/gain...

    General Tso troubleshooting

Yes, I face the flat side of the ldr to the side of the LED where the light is produced. I think you could sub a vactrol, but you'd have to respect the ldr and led specs.

Aion FX Procyon: harsh decay (honey Bee)

unclear what you mean by harsh decay--meaning the clipping is harsh? I would check demo vids for the source circuit for comparison. Just checked, there are several! To begin with, this comparison one: and this one It looks like the controls are very interactive as well, and just a glance...

    searching for components

Super nah. The only thing I have ever had difficulty finding are out of production/obsolete things, like Germanium diodes, transistors and IC s. Having said that, there is a learning curve to the Mouser search engine, but seriously, there is no shortage of common components.

Minotaur sonic Terrors fuzz & burn PTP

All thunder stealing previously noted, approved, and encouraged, my guy Van Why, so no apologies necessary. I am not territorial about my posts, if anything, I welcome more people to chime in with build questions and whatnot. I'm a teacher, so I'm all about sharing knowledge and learnings...

Minotaur sonic Terrors fuzz & burn PTP

Well, it's probably quicker and makes it easier to situate and all, but yeah, you could stripboard it a la guardians of the analog or whatever (i.e. PTP!!!!) I do wish he would clear up the different interpretations of his notations on 4.7nf vs. 47nf, though.

Minotaur sonic Terrors fuzz & burn PTP

Yup, Ibanez AR325QA (artcore 325 quilted ash). It's a very fun guitar--can toggle between parallel humbucker, single coil, and series humbucker, (it's why I use it a lot to test pedals) and the quilted ash top is pretty nifty.

Minotaur sonic Terrors fuzz & burn PTP

I used @Guardians of the analog 's "certified effing" values. I think that should work splendidly, because that's exactly what it is. Just to note, the DPDT is because it's an input *and* output cap selector edit: you could even split the DPDT into two SPDTs if it's easier--one for the input...

Minotaur sonic Terrors fuzz & burn PTP

Almost a year ago, I made that big crow's nest of a pedal. Last night, I finished my redo. Hey, look at the difference a couple of PTP builds makes--even though it still looks a bit rat's nesty. I basically implemented this as noted in my original build notes as two separate circuits. I most...

PTP no board - planing advice?

Fuzzhugger--ok, cool. Facehugger would also be a cool name. I think you should think about what is bugging you aesthetically, and then try to plan around it for next time. Remember, you have the power of spatiality in a PTP build, so you can stand components on end, tuck some under others...

PTP no board - planing advice?

You mean planning? Planing is making something flat by shaving it down. Duuuude, I don't know. Have you SEEN my PTP???? It doesn't even look a quarter as nice as that. Love the layout and clean lines. It's *really* nice. That big ole circle in the middle is bold and interesting. You...

    P2P Reeves Zo clone

Hahaha---I'm just naive! I'm like, sure, why not, let's do it. My next 6? 8? builds will be PTP iterations of Boneyard circuits, from the simplest to the most complex. Starting with Animals Diamond Peak and Fudge Factory after I finish this Fuzz & Burn redux. Anyway, it's just iterations...
