Radio Pickup on a Black Ash Clone?

I've picked up radio signals while messing with tonebender and fuzz face circuits on my breadboards. Usually it's when the fuzz is cranked, but my guitar volume is turned down. My solution has been to put a small cap, like 50pf or maybe 100pf, on the circuit input to ground. I'm not sure if that...

    EOL parts thread

Does anyone have a convenient way to breadboard with these smd parts or is it just a case of using an adapter board pcb to mount them on a breadboard?

    Chickenhead with CWA Enclosure

    Oooo sparkly. I love it

    Sunflower fuzz

Very nice. The gold leaf is a very cool touch. Did you clear over it? Your friend is going to love it.

    2N2222A = 2N2222 (more or less?)

2n222As have more Attitude (They have a little more gain than 2n2222, but are probably interchangeable without much difference)

    Disarray (Suhr Riot Reloaded)

How are you securing that bypass board in the enclosure? Is it just sitting on top of the switch with the wires to the main pcb holding it in place?

    Aurum Drive (Friedman Golden Pearl)

The graphics turned out great! I really gotta figure out the whole graphic design and UV printing thing.

    Disarray (Suhr Riot Reloaded)

Nice and clean! I wonder if that fizzy tone is because the op amps are distorting before the signal gets sent to the diodes. I was messing around on my breadboard a while back and built something like a crunchbox. You can change the sound a lot by changing the high pass filter on that first op...

How to get rid of this high pitch oscillation in a fuzz face?

If the transistors have a lot of gain you can put a small (47 ohm or 100 ohm) resistor between ground and the electrolytic cap hooked to the fuzz control to stop the oscillation.

Blue Shoe. How to avoid 6 knobs jamming into each other on 125B top?

Slightly overdrill the pot holes, fit the pcb to the pots, then spread the pots out evenly before you solder them in. If you want to make it easier use a smaller diameter knob like these control knobs: https://www.taydaelectronics.com/control-black-knob-16-x-14-mm-2005.html

This Week on the Breadboard: Phase 90

The bigger caps for a more vibey sound is really interesting to me. I built the Circulator a while back and while it was cool I wondered what I could do to make it a little thicker. Even though it's a not a jfet based phaser, I figured I could do something similar with the 2.2nf caps. I think I...

Panelizing and having break-off parts produced.

I never noticed it before, but I just checked the small 10 pcb order I made a couple of days ago and I did get charged 50 cents for sales tax, plus a 50 cent paypal fee.

1590A Fuzz Builds (Fuzzdog One Knob & Sheepylove Chrysomallos)

I don't have the patience for a 1590a, so my hats off to any of you that cram circuits in them. I think I started to build a 1590a mosfet booster once, but I messed up drilling and things were colliding inside before I even tried to fit the vero board in.

The 16v caps are fine as long as you run 9v power.

    Southern Belle EQ

I was never sure how to calculate that high pass filter setup there. It is supposed to be similar to a Timmy with the bass pot replaced by a resistor to preset the amount of blend in the capacitors. You'd have 3.3k and 47nf making a 1026hz high pass then I guess the 3.3k+12k and 470nf making a...

DEMO ShinDig Overdrive (E.N.T Effects Shin -hit Over Drive 46)

Sounds more like Timmy than a Zen Drive. I dig it either way. The matte pickguard looks better with the aged aesthetic of the rest of the guitar imo. What's up with this spot: Discombobulator? Crystal Lattice diffuser? Flux Capacitor?
