Yeah problem is that god knows when the Rustbucket will be in stock, sourcing the parts isnt the issue. And since this site offers a FV1 development board, I might as well see if someone knows how to program something similar.

Hence why I opened this thread, seeing if a simpler alternative is possible with the FV1

So basically build an optical compressor and put it before the Gator, use the gator as a gate and see what happens? Worth a shot. I dont know what the POG2 does, but I think its close to the EHX Attack Decay pedal.

Already built the Gator doesnt even come close in terms of speed.

Shouldnt the compressor have an attack function though? Also, the swells from opto comps I've seen dont seem to be nearly as fast.

Believe me I know it doesnt react as fast. What optical comp would you suggest?

That's the deal, what I want is an effect that can do the POG attack thing.....without the size or the price.

The idea is to remove the sound of the pick attack completely, like a Slow Gear. Thing is the Slow Gear's response to attack is....slow. The POG on the other hand:

I've noticed that there arent many existing pedals that can remove the attack as well as the POG2, and I dont want to buy one just for that. Is it possible to make such a thing?
