This week on the Breadboard: The Hybrid Fuzz Driver Deluxe

This thing is the Soloist Fuzz! Crank the gain and mid, fuzz and bass at noon, treble at 3 o'clock. Single notes are huge! The band I am in now is called Combo Diablo. We are working up a version of Midnight Blues like the Detroit Cobras. I wanna use this to do the solo!

T W on the BB with Chuck and Gator: Hellbender/Pagebender Hybrid

Lol...Led Sabbath... Oh man I just got done playing Aerosmith Sweet Emotion on this thing with the Les Paul for about 30 minutes...🤘🤪🤤 Fuzz at 10 o'clock, highs and mid at 3 o'clock, bass at noon. Pretty damn close tone.

T W on the BB with Chuck and Gator: Hellbender/Pagebender Hybrid

That 70's Pedal is hilarious! Buck Dahrma is awesome. A very unique guitar player. I am still undecided on a name for this circuit. But That 70's Pedal or That 70's Drive is good for either circuit. Elric of Melnibone was a series of books by Michael Morcock that was influential on BOC. I was...

T W on the BB with Chuck and Gator: Hellbender/Pagebender Hybrid

I should clarify, on my breadboard, the trimmer on the far left is in series with a resistor to make an accurate R14 as I did not have the proper resistor value.

T W on the BB with Chuck and Gator: Hellbender/Pagebender Hybrid

    Forgot to add, I used BC549C for Q1 and Q4. I used SC9018 for Q2 and Q3. Q3 bias at about 4.9V

Yes, I abreviated "This Week on the Breadboard". Please forgive me lol... Chuck gave me permission to post this here and really, where else would I post it? I had purchased a couple of fuzz pedals that I really enjoy. The Deep trip Hellbender and the Page Bender. They are both great sounding...

This week on the Breadboard: The Hybrid Fuzz Driver Deluxe

I am using an sc9018 with hfe about 100. Lower would be a bit better. It is working and sounding good though. I use BC549C for Q1, Q4 and Q5.

This week on the Breadboard: The Hybrid Fuzz Driver Deluxe

If you're looking for something to breadboard I highly recommend this! With the Gain(midboost)dimed, and the fuzz between 9 and noon, can use your guitar's volume to make dramatic changes to the amount of overall clipping. Great for soloing! It also does the knoppfler money for nothing sound to...

Hirsute Fuzz Vintage Deluxe - Ge Fuzz Face

Holy s***. If I could like that s*** twice I would. I've been wanting to put a gauge on a pedal for a while now that looks awesome!

    Bass Klon

I'm just in love with that name plate. That s*** is kick ass. I love name plates for some reason I don't know what's wrong with me they just look and look cool as hell. Reminds me of back in the day when we made products in America and manufacturers were so proud of their product they put high...

    Opinions wanted: brightest friedman circuit

Looking at the kraken schematic, it looks interesting. Definitely sounds like a lot of gain on the kraken circuit. Might have to check it out.

    Opinions wanted: brightest friedman circuit

I just built the brown betty pretty much stock. It sounds awesome. Plenty of gain. I have been doing a side by side with the boogie monster circuit. The Friedman circuit I believe to be better overall. Much better mid-range. However, it's not as bright. I've been looking at the schematics of...

    Aluminum build-up on drills

A-9 aluminum cutting fluid by Relton. Best I have found. The tap paste mentioned earlier is great as well. Alcohol is actually great, it just doesn't stick around.

    Odyssey - A Caesar Chorus

Exactly! That is what I love about this hobby/addiction. I love to see what other people use for their graphics. Sometimes I use the name that Robert came up with, and sometimes I listen to the sound of the pedal after it's built, and it makes me want to name it something different. I really...

    Odyssey - A Caesar Chorus

Just finished this one. I'm not a huge chorus person, but this circuit sounds awesome! Built it pretty much stock. I meant to try substituting 2.2uf mlcc caps in for the red leds, but I forgot about it once I started playing through it. The enclosure is Tayda Ball silver. The image is actually...
