    Seabed Delay/First laser engraved enclosure

That looks sick! Really liking the art and layout on it. Plus, we’re surf green ocean theme’d laser etched enclosure twins! Looking at yours though, I am not sure if it is your settings or the more powerful laser, but your edges look cleaner and slightly better defined. Kudos sir.

Time to Blow: My First Tube Amp Project...

Howdy. I recently completed my first tube amp a few months ago. I didn't go with a kit because there isn't a kit for the amp I wanted to build. I noticed while pricing out the cost of the build that you might save some money not going with it kit, but the money you'll save by not getting a kit...

Anyone familiar with EHX Flatiron Fuzz circuit?

I have been looking into the Electro Harmonix Flatiron Fuzz. EHX says this is based on the Rat circuit with a different Op-Amp and some additional tweaks. I've read in some other forums that EHX made some changes to the tone stack and that just changing the Op-Amp in a Rat pedal wouldn't result...

Benson Monarch Reverb head and cab build

Thank you! The cabinet started its life as a wood box that was used to ship a thank you basket of items to the company I work for. They were going to throw it out, but I hate seeing that kind of stuff go to waste. So I finished it the same way I had finished the amp enclosures, added some...

Benson Monarch Reverb head and cab build

I need to start off by mentioning that working with amps can be very dangerous if the correct precautions are not taken and if you are unaware of the dangers lurking in higher voltage circuitry. Please don't temp the fates unless you take the proper precautions and are aware of the risks. I say...

    Squidward (1590B enclosure)

Thank you! I think the ones I have that are diffused LEDs came from Mouser. Looking at Tayda, they only currently have clear ones. I am not sure how bright the clear 10mm LEDs are. I think the clear ones are brighter in general.

    Squidward (1590B enclosure)

I've been playing it a lot and trying find how to use it best. I am not sure if it'll stay on my board full time or just get pulled out occasionally. I'll have to try it going straight into my amp cranked and see how it responds to the tube overdrive like you said.

    Squidward (1590B enclosure)

Hi all. I've been trying to get more active by posting and interacting with the members of this community. I've been creeping, ermm I mean observing for a while. There's a lot to learn here, and a lot of really knowledgable members. I am glad to be here and thanks to everyone who is willing to...

London Power Scaling - DIY Monarch

You’re like the neighbor who gets awesome new things like a car and a boat. Now I am over here looking at my 5 year old car thinking I should trade it in and maybe I could become a boat guy myself. Lol I am joking, but seriously, your projects are so interesting to me.

London Power Scaling - DIY Monarch

Good sir, awesome stuff as always. Does the power scaling unit lower the available output volume permanently in anyway, or with the two output controls all the way open do you still get the full volume you would without the power scaling unit in place? Comparing the tone between the Weber mini...

How do you typically Clean flux from PCB

I bet that does a decent job of getting the flux off the board instead of it getting pushed around. What kind of vacuum are you using?

How do you typically Clean flux from PCB

Thanks everyone. So many experienced folks giving input. I’ll definitely try some of these methods. Some very experienced folks are also saying they don’t bother cleaning PCB’s. I am starting to wonder if it’s worth the time at all. Maybe the idea of flux corroding the PCB or causing conductance...

My God. I didn't know I could be attracted to a PCB prior to your post. Sooo clean.

Best DC jacks and mounting procedure

I should really make a test rig like this. It would really make troubleshooting so much easier. Then I would probably only use JST connectors on things I know I'd need to take out later.

Best DC jacks and mounting procedure

I just always assume it’s going to have to come out cause somehow I manage to forget something, or make a slight error or miscalculation. Maybe one day I’ll get to where you are, and I’ll get it right the first time more often than not. Either way right now the way I work, I don’t do enclosure...

How do you typically Clean flux from PCB

I’ll try the soaked chem wipe method. It sounds like it might solve the issue of pushing flux from the heavily soldered side that I am having. Thank you!

How do you typically Clean flux from PCB

Hello, I’ve been trying to find the best method for cleaning flux off a PCB. Here is what I have been doing recently: I take an alcohol based contact and electronics cleaner and spray and scrub the PCB after I have populated it with most of the components (except the pots, switches or anything...

Best DC jacks and mounting procedure

I use different power jacks depending on the build and what I have available. When I use the inside mount ones, instead of soldering the terminals of the power jack to the PCB with a piece of wire, I use electronics power/battery snap plugs. That way I can remove the board from the enclosure...

SOLVED Kliche Mini SE Breakout Board

On the site it lists the 3PDT Breakout Board for Kliche Mini Overdrive as being specifically designed for use with the Kliche, Kliche Mini, and Kliche boost. If I were a betting man, I'd place my money on this being a direct replacement to the one that comes with the Kliche PCBs.
