Getting a PCB made from a gerber

I haven't come across a board that didn't work -- at least not one that you were responsible for (Amazon -- maybe; me -- maybe; Robert -- never).

Yes, cryptic and legit were the words I was looking for...

    VHS -- aka Primary Colors

I have to say that I'm kind of proud of this one. I really wanted to enjoy this pedal, and I absolutely love it in so many ways. First, this thing is a throw back to the 80s. Besides an EQ pedal (which was my first), my first three pedals were a chorus, a boost and a reverb, and this pedal...

Getting a PCB made from a gerber

Nobody is dumb enough to release a PCB without build docs, are they?

Maybe put the lightning bolt in a little coffin? That's basically what Josh did -- although he put the actual pedal in a little coffin.

TC Electronic Booster + Line Driver & Distortion Broken Footswitch

If you don't want to build one, you can just buy one. I'm sure the members of this forum would happily point you to a commercial one or sell you one that they've built.

TC Electronic Booster + Line Driver & Distortion Broken Footswitch

Yeah, it's not a looper pedal like you're thinking. Think about it like a remote switch that brings you pedal in and out of the signal path. When you use one, you basically leave the pedal in the always on position, but the looper routes your pedal either in or out of the signal path. It's...

SOLVED Caesar Chorus Clock Noise on Bypass

Where you run the wires is sometimes pedal dependent. With BBD pedals, it's best to keep your signal path isolated from the clock signals. Glad you got it working.

Just turn the bias knob all the way to one side and put a taco on it. EDIT: In all seriousness though, this looks awesome, and I think the graphics you have work fine.

TC Electronic Booster + Line Driver & Distortion Broken Footswitch

Yeah, what @Feral Feline said. If this thing is stuck in the on position, it's probably just easier (and less risky) to plug it into a looper pedal to bring it in and out of the signal chain.

    XC Phase - Phase Shifter

When I started building pedals, I knew this one was going to be on my build list. I've been wanting a phase shifter for a few years now. It's been on my wish list, but I just never pulled the trigger on buying one because I have been able to get a modest reproduction from my HX Stomp. I've...

    Dark Rift Delay issue

My initial guess would be the PT2399. But if yours is working in another pedal, that isn't your problem. This might sound like a dumb question -- and trust me, I wouldn't ask it if I hadn't made this mistake myself -- but none of you pictures show the PT2399 populated. Was it in there when...

    Lead solder overdrive

That's a good point. That enclosure has a beautiful powder coat both inside and out, but that may be part of the problem. Ultimately, you want that enclosure to be grounded so that it will act like a faraday cage and shield the electronics inside. You might want to sand it down on the inside...

Getting a PCB made from a gerber

Yeah, it's definitely worth the extra 5¢ to keep the board clean.

    Lead solder overdrive

I agree with @giovanni and @Mcknib. All of those wires can act like antenna. It does help to twist them like you did, but there's still a lot of wire to pick up EMF. Those Op Amps are going to do their job and add gain to everything -- including any noise you pick up. Plus your charge pump...

Getting a PCB made from a gerber

You can have them omit it, but they charge you more money, presumably because it's more work to keep track of your PCB as it goes through the production process.

    LED polarity

Now if there was just a way for me to remember to orient the jack that way... Oh wait, I've got it...

    LED polarity

No, I don't use the battery snap, And sometimes I do connect the positive to both, but I was just wondering if there was an easy way to remember which was which.
