    SOLVED Dream fuzz no LED

If you're not even getting a bypass sound (assuming your foot switch break out board is a true bypass board), that's where I would start -- check your jack wiring and foot switch wiring. Also check your DC input jack wiring. I can't really tell from the pictures, but it looks like your +9V is...

    SOLVED Dream fuzz no LED

Are we sure about this? Seems to me if you just jumper the LED pad, you're sending your 9V power to ground. Looking at schematic, I don't see any ill effect of not populating the CLR or the LED on the main PCB, but maybe I'm missing something.

Vibro Champ external cab mystery squeal

Are you disconnecting your internal speaker when you plug in to that jack? If you are running 4 ohms on the internal speaker and 4 ohms on the external speaker simultaneously (in parallel) the amp is only seeing 2 ohms of impedance. My recommendation would be to replace that 1/4" mono jack...

Vibro Champ external cab mystery squeal

Check the impedance of the speakers. Also, are you using a 1/4" speaker cable or a 1/4" instrument cable?

Blu Tack vs Blue Painters Tape

That just looks like way too many opportunities for solder bridges for me. I just stick them all in, tape them all down, and solder away, timing the legs along the way.

Blu Tack vs Blue Painters Tape

I don't bend the legs anymore. I've made my share of mistakes, and keeping the legs straight makes desoldering a whole lot easier. It also makes it easier to prevent and correct solder bridges.

Blu Tack vs Blue Painters Tape

I use both. For soldering resistors and diodes when there isn't anything else populated on the board, Painter's tape works the best. You can press the painters tape down really well and use it to align your resistors nice and neat. When I'm placing components of different heights, I use a...

Woodpecker Tremolo static noise with depth control

It's not part of the design. If you've swapped the pot and are still gettin the issue, perhaps it's a grounding issue. Can you post some photos?

Super Heterodyne - Divebomb sound with no input

I don't use diluted alcohol. I generally use 91% (mostly because I can get it at the grocery store), but a lot of people use 99% isopropyl. My weapon of choice is a soft bristled tooth brush. I dip it in alcohol, scrub the board, clean the brush on a paper towel and repeat until the board...

Super Heterodyne - Divebomb sound with no input

I like to clean as much flux off of the board as I can when I'm troubleshooting. It makes it easier to spot problems.

    King Nothing Not Working

Your solder joints look good, but I can't tell on this one from the photo. You might want to check for continuity between those two pins.

Photos of these enclosure colours from Tayda? Matte Violet/Viola Pink/Pastel Violet

Hmmm. I think I would call that red. That doesn't say viva or magenta to me.

    XC Phase Pop

I have some contact cleaner, but I don't know what I did with it. 🤣 It's probably behind a rack in my studio.
