Tom (Nook) - the Paul Cochrane Tim

For anyone interested in the minutiae of this, I bought that v3 when I came out then I built my Effects Layouts Mitt. They sounded exactly the same except for the fact that the v3 has the 2 extra switches that gives some more variations. Ended up selling the v3 Tim because I decided I could live...

Tom (Nook) - the Paul Cochrane Tim

Looks great! If you ever want another one that is in a 125B, or anyone else who might be interested, Effects Layouts has a Tim without the fx loop. It was a quick and easy build for me. https://effectslayouts.com/product/mitt-overdrive/

Learning everything all over again with the Tri-Vibe

Cool! I was recently looking at that pedal even though I already built a vibe pedal  I'll keep my eye out for the build report on the Straylight.

    DEMO The Gnat Fuzz!

Good demo and, as usual, great artwork on the enclosure! That pedal sounds killer too, might have to build it someday.

Learning everything all over again with the Tri-Vibe

Looks impressive! Are you planning to build a vibe that contains a light bulb? I had a Deja Vibe a long time ago and then bought an MXR Uni Vibe that is a digital representation of the circuit I was told. It sounded ok but upon comparison with the Deja Vibe it wasn't the true sound from those...

    Sunflower Fuzz

I don't know why this on my mind after 4 and a half years (🤪), but if I pull the jumper I have for D1, and add the 1N5817 listed on the build doc, it will be protected from me accidentally touching the wrong battery terminals?

    Anybody using wireless guitar systems?

I have been interested in this for a while but haven't done anything about it. I did gift someone this one for this last Christmas: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRKS96NS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 It had generally good reviews. I'll ask him what he thought of it.

First Pedal, First Build (Muroidea Distortion)

Looks great! Congratulations on the first build. I have built many pedals that I was interested in trying out at ultimately a fraction of the cost. And having fun doing the building.

    Germanium substitutes…

I will second this suggestion. I bought the TC1 and event though it has been said it may not as accurate as the more expensive ones, it is good for getting ranges in comparing transistors. And it seems pretty accurate when measuring caps and resistors compared to my DMM.

Effects Layouts Prismatic EQ (Boss GE-7)

I would suggest to start a thread in the "Troubleshooting" area. You will get help figuring out what is wrong. Include photos.

    PAL-800 question

Oh bummer. Early on in my pedal building I screwed up a pad removing a part. In a troubleshooting thread I was instructed on how to run a jumper wire to save the board/project. Maybe if you start a troubleshooting thread for this issue, it’s possible.

    Carbon Black

Nice! Dammit, I’ve been interested in this for a while and also telling myself that I don’t need another fuzz.

Anyone Keep a Log Book of Your Pedals and Pedal Settings?

Good idea. I have thought that I should have made notes about amp and pedal settings that I liked.
