Swarms - Noise Ensemble vero board

Yes! That one seems to be the most experimental one out there. And Evan from Dirge seems to be a genuinely amazing person. Also, the JPTRFX Super Weirdo, and GojiraFX makes a bunch of NE variants. I think Holy Island has a take on it, and I know that Russ Never Sleeps has a version he has been...

Swarms - Noise Ensemble vero board

Edited to say DPDT instead of 3PDT and link updated. My bad! Hey there! So it's using a DPDT momentary switch like this one. That switch simply swaps between the main delay/shambles pot and the secondary one on one half, and connects the infinite repeats on the other half when it's engaged. I...

    1kHz noise with Terrarium board

There is some more talk of how to deal with the 1kHz whine on Daisy: https://forum.electro-smith.com/t/questions-about-digital-noise-and-grounding/432/16?u=bretvh I don't fully understand what they are suggesting, but it from what I gather, it amounts to breaking your callback into smaller...

    Got my Daisy Seeds

Heads up, if you are on a Mac and want to set up the JTAG environment, I wrote up a guide here: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/setting-up-vscode-openocd-xpack-st-link-for-debugging-on-macos-big-sur.4861/ It's a game changer if you decide you want to keep doing Daisy stuff.

    1kHz noise with Terrarium board

Just to clarify, are you hearing this all the time, or when you pause the debugger? I am not hearing any noise when I am just playing with my STLinkV3 connected, but if I pause the debugger, I do hear a very loud (I suspect 1k) noise until I resume.

EXAMPLE Setting up VSCode/OpenOCD (XPack)/ST-Link for debugging on MacOS Big Sur

FYI, edited to point to the STLinkV3 item and a Daisy forum post showing how to connect the ribbon cable.

EXAMPLE Setting up VSCode/OpenOCD (XPack)/ST-Link for debugging on MacOS Big Sur

Just wanted to chime in here that I just got my STLinkV3 Mini and verified this all works. I have to say, being able to flash without the enclosure flip/button smash routine is huge. Also, I can see the debugging working (although the noise when pausing the debugger is annoying as hell), which...

EXAMPLE Setting up VSCode/OpenOCD (XPack)/ST-Link for debugging on MacOS Big Sur

Yeah, I think I am mostly wanting to be able to run make program and not have to do the enclosure flip/button push dance every couple minutes. But even if I can see the variables in any form, that would be helpful. So on the STLink, I ordered the wrong ribbon cable and have not been able to...

    Paludarium Platform Development

Nice! Do you have any thoughts about providing a means to let users do firmware updates? I don’t know if there is a way to map the two interior button functions to the front somehow, and also build it so the USB port can be easily accessed, but I could see that being very handy for releasing...

EXAMPLE Setting up VSCode/OpenOCD (XPack)/ST-Link for debugging on MacOS Big Sur

Ok, since it took me a brutally time-consuming scavenger hunt to get this set up, I am going to document it here for others. I had a lot of issues having to find documentation on several different websites, and with paths not being found once I got everything installed, so here are detailed...

Pot Values and Simulating Changing a pot value over time.

Ok, so it looks like the fonepole function allows you to smoothly change the value of a variable as it loops over each sample? This is super helpful, I'm stoked to try it out. Thanks again!

Pot Values and Simulating Changing a pot value over time.

Oooh! Thanks so much! That makes sense on the init function. I will check your code for sure!

    EXAMPLE Rhythmic delay

I've been trying to use the LED object to fade an LED in and out with an envelope filter, but have had no luck. Has anyone else been able to get LEDs to pulse? If so, what is your special sauce?

Pot Values and Simulating Changing a pot value over time.

Found the answer to the knob question on the Daisy Slack channel:

    Dumb Question

FWIW, I have had mine plugged in to both at the same time and have been able to flash/play without any issues.

Pot Values and Simulating Changing a pot value over time.

While I am awaiting my ST-Link card, I am wondering what the values the pots send to the code, if anyone has been able to get that info through a debugger? I'm on a Mac using CLion and am just kind guessing what the values are and tweaking from there. B10K pots. Just wanting to know what the...

    MultiDelay effect

Thank so much for this. I was able to get these installed on my seed with my new terrarium build last night and this and the verb sound great. Stoked to dig in more!

    Small capacitors

Socketing the TL072 worked for me as well. I used MLCC for the 1uf caps, as my film 1UFs would have put it way too high for the sockets.

    Compiling on a Mac

Yeah, I was able to get the Terra patches to build and flash onto the Daisy last night. I am doing it all from the command line. I did notice that the way I pulled from the git repo, it put the Terra files into a nested subdirectory of my DaisyExamples folder, so the Makefile was referencing the...

    My New Favorite, The Chickenhead

Ok, never mind. I flipped the transistor and the noise is gone. More importantly, it sounds SO MUCH BETTER. At first I was like, "Huh, this is what people are all crazy about?" Now I get it, really nice range of gain and tones available!
