    Microphone/XLR effects loop project?

The closest thing I’ve seen on the forum is this: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/mic-pre-fx-loop.24399/#post-309982

Starting to use ChatGPT to write optimizer for SpinCAD

I feel that. ChatGPT can for sure save some time, but on more sophisticated problems it still requires a lot of effort and upfront work. Lots of refinement, breaking down tasks and subtasks. Deciding at what point to have it generate a summary intended to be pasted into a new session to reduce...

    Mhm- two of ‘em.

Two Sticks of Derm aka Doomstick

I don’t have any to test with, but it looks like they probably wouldn’t fit.

Two Sticks of Derm aka Doomstick

I liked that this pcb is small enough to fit into a 1590A. I assumed I would just build it in a 1590B so I could fit top jacks. Then I came across the Gorva M45. Just a bit bigger. I would have preferred to save my pcb-mount stereo jacks, but that’s ok because it helped me finish the build...

    EMU Drill Template

I haven’t built it yet. I have an enclosure that was drilled with this template. I based the XLR hole size off a template for the MBP Sludgehammer. It’s a bit small for the Tayda XLR jack I have. I have a few more XLR jacks on the way, but I still might need to file it out. I might knock this...

    DEMO Funbox Pluto

First off, shout out to @keyth72 for all the awesome Funbox / GuitarML contributions to the DIY and open source communities. https://github.com/GuitarML/FunBox This is my first Funbox Planet series build. This is using a build I compiled, so I can make some tweaks before I hand it over to the...

    Nutty Fuzz

The Nutty Fuzz became a fast favorite for me. It made it on my board shortly after building it. I don’t see it leaving soon.

    Linus Torvalds project

I’ll have to check some of those out when I’m at my computer. I’m curious to see new designs for a 1590B daisyseed.

    C2CE Black Eye

Thank you! And thanks for the link- I have it bookmarked now. I probably won’t try it soon, the black eye has made it on my board. But it’s good to know that it’s a simple mod.

PHB 2025 - MIDI din to 1/8” trs patch bay

I am loving the interface and the thought they put into it. Simple and intuitive while also being very flexible. I thought about getting a Minerva at some point. My wife asked what I want for my birthday and I told her a Trash Panda Quad. 🤞

PHB 2025 - MIDI din to 1/8” trs patch bay

The tldr; if you need a simple utility, build it! I just got an Oscillator Devices HydraX4 to expand my board. I love it. It’s a 4-ch loop switcher with reorderable loops, two programmable gain stages, one of which can be placed before or after any loop. And MIDI control. I use PC messages to...

    DEMO Schu-Tone Delay-Machine 3 (Boss DM-3)

I experienced this. I don’t have a scope, but I took a few passes at the calibration-by-ear process. I told my bass player I could recalibrate it if/when I get an oscilloscope, but he’s very happy with the way it sounds as-is. I love that layout.

    C2CE Black Eye

Another one that’s been in the backlog for a while. I finally got my 9-pin tube sockets in the mail today, so I finished it right after work. The build is pretty straightforward. The docs for c2ce projects are top notch, and the provided tayda drill and UV templates make the projects even...

    Deeptronics FOG

I’ve spent some time with this pedal, and I’ve dropped it to two stars. I use a variety of gainy pedals, and the FOG does not play nice with them. Any amount of dirt results in an audible digital whine. I am using isolated power. That, combined with everything else I mentioned above makes for a...

    Chorus w/ mid boost

I haven’t done this yet, but I have a few ideas that involve two or more PCBs in a 125B. Use long-legged PCB-mount pots for the larger PCB. This gives you more space to add a circuit underneath it. Everything will probably need low-profile electros.

Moonn Space Is Fun (DBA Reverberation Machine)

The Reverberation Machine is kind of like a moped- It can be really fun, but you wouldn’t want to be caught by your friends using one.

    PedalPCB Median Compressor

You’re fine using that. The 5 holes are there to accommodate different sized trimmers. It looks like it would based on the Datasheet. It will be noisier, but might be fine. I used to socket my transistors early on. Eventually I picked up a tester and these days I usually solder them directly...
