    6-Band EQ—“Metal-as-F&@k” Version!

MORE than welcome! Hope it does somebody some good. There are some scary-knowledgeable people posting stuff in this forum...I realize this is pretty ground-floor. But it does sound good! if only there was a seventh band to address that gap in the middlest middle of the midrange...

    6-Band EQ—“Metal-as-F&@k” Version!

So I’ve been messing around with these EQ calculators… http://www.muzique.com/lab/gyrator.htm http://www.muzique.com/schem/filter.htm …and using it to swap out caps/resistors on the 6-band EQ. I socketed all the relevant pads to test my work before I “made it real” and to my utter...

Is the Pathogen (Abasi Pathos) mostly inspired by the Sanguine (Revv G4) ?

This is just a cultural reference you're probably not understanding due to either your age group, musical preferences, or where you live in the world;) Just to keep you from trying to look up "5150" as a part/component number or vacuum tube type or something like that, which would become...

Replacing a momentary footswitch with a toggle...

@Feral Feline I understand everything you're saying, there, and I think I can figure in our from here...just maybe need to buy a pair of "NO" buttons and a pair of "NC" buttons, temporarily wire them in on some ribbon cable so I can quickly extract whichever kind is not working, and go from...

Replacing "Six Pads" Jacks with "Two Pads" Jacks On a PCB...

Okay this might sound like dummy talk because I don't know the proper terminology so bear with me... So you guys know how all of the PCBs that are sold by pedalpcb.com use the typical old-school 1/4" mono jacks for inputs/outputs that require only two leads—"positive" and "ground", right? Well...

Replacing a momentary footswitch with a toggle...

Hey Crew, So I have this fancy programmable analog EQ stomp box (Free the Tone PA-10G) that has a soft-touch 3PDT foot switch that allows one to toggle between four different user presets. And likewise on the other side of the pedal for on/bypass duties. I'm about to re-house this sucker...

Modifying Old Rockman Pedal for "Always On"...?...

Yeah I did a little test in my studio before I sent it off to @Robert with a real rockmodule compressor and chorus after it, and it was pretty f&@$ing close to “that sound”. I have a PCB of the “Woody” analog acoustic guitar emulator clone that can be had out there coming to me in the mail...

Looking for subjective opinions on chorus pedal sounds…

Cool because I went down this rabbit hole of doing final mounting all my new spin circuits into its rack enclosure yesterday so I could do the demo more easily, and that led to a whole host of other drilling/spacing issues and I never got to it. No plan survives first contact with the enemy.

Looking for subjective opinions on chorus pedal sounds…

@xefned I understand EXACTLY how you feel!!! Felt the exact same way myself, but I was really motivated by my need to get that specific sound, and BOY am I glad I did. The other prejudice I had in my head was thinking about how older small-format digital pedals always sounded kinda sterile or...

Looking for subjective opinions on chorus pedal sounds…

I'll try and get something like that done this weekend for sure! FWIW I've been basically doing a spin-a-week for the last three weeks and I now also have the DMD-2 delay and the Spatialist Reverb done, and they ALL sound INCREDIBLE. Just vast, pristine tones, without being at all sterile, and...

Just following up to say that I finished this build, and you guys’ recommendation of the Unison was SPOT ON. In “center switch mode” this thing just about nails that Rockman chorus thickening thing, and just sounds soooo big and lush. LOVE IT. Just out of curiosity, when the pedalpcb website...
