    Is the FreakZEQ "buffered"?

According to the SA website the SOK is a buffered preamp. I realize the FreakZ is a stripped down version of the SOK, but is it still buffered? Anyways, would it make sense to use a c-buffered 3PDT if the pedal goes first in the chain?

SOLVED I can't locate a pcb short (Mahayana)

SOLVED I found the culprit. It was the 1N34A. I wasn't aware that a bad diode could cause a short. That was the problem entirely.

SOLVED Need help checking voltages with a Sandspur.

SOLVED I took the whole thing apart, followed everybody's advice, put it back together and sounding f'n great! Thanks for the help everybody. This is a fantastic community.

SOLVED Need help checking voltages with a Sandspur.

Yup, good eye. I accidentally soldered the left and right pots backwards, and had trouble with that one lug when I resoldered. I think it's soldered thoroughly, but maybe I damaged the pots with too much heat or something???

SOLVED I can't locate a pcb short (Mahayana)

I built up a Zendrive board and it wouldn't power up. I used my DMM to poke around and found that the "+" pad on the pcb where the power jack connects has continuity to ground at all "G" pads on the pcb. I have disconnected everything from the board but the pots. I have checked both sides of...

SOLVED Need help checking voltages with a Sandspur.

Thank you. I got 1.1v and 7.4v. Does this tell us anything?

SOLVED Need help checking voltages with a Sandspur.

All I'm getting is a faint sputtering, and only with the fuzz knob turned all the way up. I tried several different positions with trim pots and got the same results. My only guess is that I overheated the transistors because I didn't use sockets. I was otherwise very careful building this...

Is it possible to make a "c-buffer" on/off switchable?

Like a Klon KTR (I think) where you have an option to switch between buffered and true-bypass.

I'm looking to make a pedal that is both a booster and buffer. (suggestions needed)

I don't see any boosters that fall into that category but I could be wrong. I'm wanting something like a Wampler dB+, JHS Prestige, or Xotic Super Clean. Another option, I guess, is to build a Kliche mini and keep the gain turned down. Or maybe I can build one of the preamps available instead...

    1/8 watt resistors?

    Thanks.

    1/8 watt resistors?

I received an order from Mouser for some odd ball resistor values. I needed a 9.1K resistor for a Danae build, but it appears Mouser sent me a 1/8w resistor even though it's labeled "1/4w". It is tiny, about half the size of the 1/4w we all use. Should I go ahead and use this 1/8w resistor or...

What do people like to use for LED's and bezels?

Thanks. I did not use the drill template for my first order, but I definitely try it next time.

What do people like to use for LED's and bezels?

I really like those. Where can I find them and how do you attach them on the inside?

How to wire two separate PCBs into one combo drive?

This is different from the original poster's diagram, though.

What do people like to use for LED's and bezels?

Does it require a larger hole? Where can I find those?

What do people like to use for LED's and bezels?

What bezels will work with the predrilled Tayda enclosures? That's probably where I'll start.

What do people like to use for LED's and bezels?

This is last piece of the puzzle for me, and hopefully some of my last noobish questions: Do people always use 3mm? Are the prewired ones with a resistor worth using? What bezels work best with the precut 125b boxes from Tayda? Thank you.
