I have to choose a Delay FV-1 based on

Maybe someone can send the guy to something that aproximates Subdecay's Echo Box? It's super straightforward, and sounds good, sitting, as its creator says, in between digital and analog. It has clear delays, but not pristine, and can do your typical useful delay with your triangle tremolo...

    Potentiometer rotation angle?

Thanks! @Erik S @Big Monk. Have been making it a habit to download datasheets for all the transistors and ICs I've selectively bought. But I've been wondering if the data I'm getting through random sites really is what I should be doing. Also, maybe we need our own version of RTFM here... RTFD? 😅

Basic Workflow Tips for Building a PedalPCB

Maybe an idea for you as well: I am thinking of doing all my pedals eurorack style, and fix the guts to a 2mm aluminum sheet faceplate and screw that on a box (or, in your case, old, fucked up boxes). The power and jack holes can be standardized, so one sturdy template should be helpful in...

    Potentiometer rotation angle?

A sidetrack on data sheet checking: you guys all just do this through a Google query a la, "component datasheet" I suppose? Are there things to look out for / be wary of? I mean, the internet is a handful of pearls within a trog of hogwash, as we all know.

    Mofeta - cascading channels?

I'm interested in the mod, so please share your method / experiences if it works out nicely!

    DRONE MUFF

Thanks guys! That's a neat little trick; something to keep in the back of my head when I come across this circuit or similar in future builds. :) It being based on a feedback loop, there's likely not much rhyme or reason behind how the drone behaves, but that's part of the charm of flooping.

    DRONE MUFF

How is the drone implemented? You set the pitch with a note?

    Low tide bat48 sub

There's a schematic. Hope this helps. Edit: Ugh, resolution crap-out. Here's the index where you can find it... https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/

Funny business with 1% film resistors, not being close to 1%

Brown, like it should be. Going to send the whole thing back. Now finding a better source. Good lesson. Thankfully, I measure before inserting like an OCD chimp.

Funny business with 1% film resistors, not being close to 1%

A Dutch one that's not really relevant for most here (Open Circuit). Figuring these came from a pack with 30 values, I thought they were cheaper because they consisted of the common values, but they should have just labelled them 3% or whatever. Guess I'll be buying the 10 pieces packs, as those...

Funny business with 1% film resistors, not being close to 1%

It's not high end what we're doing here, so I thought buying at some adequate electronica shop would yield good components, but when 470k ends up being as low as 457K and as high as 483K (so about 3% tolerance I suppose) I guess I'll have to look elsewhere for my components... What a pain. But...

Increasing depth on low tide modulator

You ever found a way to increase it beyond reason? Or did it merely need a fix?

Parasit Multiwave Guitar Synth and Moonn Schwurbel (PWM)

Parasit Studios sure has carved a little style with his designs! It's all rather brutal and abrassive, (though I could do without all the glitchy stuff that a lot of his products produce). Was thinking of eventually buying the Corruptor and / or Xor'cist. But as your experience with the...

    Pedals for Banjo

I'd say, go for the classic studio trick of cascading two compressors (look at Origin Effects SlideRig or Cali76 Stacked Edition for commercial slide guitar options ). I went with the latter for my single-coil lapsteel with benders (for steel guitar sounds), and the percussiveness of the...

Setting up a dual pole version of a SP3T ON C ON (On/On/On)

Ahh! There was another type that didn't make it to the Which Switch is Which thread! Those are indeed exactly what I need! :D I suspect I'll be buying two DP3T (type 2 here) ones and customize one myself. I read about @Feral Feline having done to flip type 2 around.

Setting up a dual pole version of a SP3T ON C ON (On/On/On)

Indeed. On/On/On typically uses two poles to achieve it's action, so I was surprised to find a single pole version of it inside the pedal. It being a digital pedal (FV-1), I guess there's other rules one can play by compared to typical analog routing, what with 1-2-3 connected in the middle...

Setting up a dual pole version of a SP3T ON C ON (On/On/On)

This is the switch inside Keeley's studio / double tracker pedals, for setting one of its three modes. Funny business, as I expected to simply buy a two pole version of whatever was inside this thing and call it a day. But those don't exist. Because, of course! I can buy two types On/On/On...

    Octave Fuzz For Bass

I got kits of this one. The fact people like it for bass made it a no brainer. Still wrapping my head around the circuit, so building (along with my personal opinion) will be shelved until I know a bit more about what I'm doing. But it's another potential option that's not talked about much...

    Random pix

Came across this one in a hospital corridor a few weeks ago. A rather unsettling representation of the "Good Samaritan". I liked it better from a distance, due to how it seemed like their faces were sliced off (as if there were glass plate insertions). Zooming out on this image helps approximate...
