I really like my Red Panda Cotext² (grated toward 80s digital racks) and LOVE the Neunaber Illumine. It does everything. Rev500s have dropped to ~$200 if you want to menu dive.

Does anyone have a whammy pedal you're using as a doorstop? A FV-1 will never sound like a whammy. Not even a XP-100. That was/is proprietary code of DigiTech and a Canadian designer/manufacturer whose name escapes me. There's a white paper the algo was based on and I doubt the FV1 approached...

Don't use those metal DC jacks on a metal enclosure unless you are using center positive power. Otherwise you will short you power to the enclosure.

I'm sure there's plenty of jfet switching going on in a few devices. I know there's a few hundred in our high end coils used for transmit receive switching. Those are probably the only ones that make it into the magnet.

Closest I can find at Mouser for a 100u https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/KEMET/ESS107M016AC2KA In polymer caps, Kyocera RPF series and Rubycon PZJ are close at 8-9mm up to 470u but you gotta watch the lead spacing. Some are 2.5, others 3.5.
