    Amptweaker Tight Control

If you just want to change the tight control, you are left with adjusting C4 and the tight pot. You can use an RC calculator to find the cutoff frequency https://www.digikey.com/en/resources/conversion-calculators/conversion-calculator-low-pass-and-high-pass-filter You're not going to get a...

What do I need to know before I order my first transistors?

I don't really want to rehash it. It's here on the forum. In short, Synth Cube bought Small Bear. While it's better than that resource for the pedal building community disappearing, I have doubts about their aptitude when it comes to pedal related stuff due to personal experience. Maybe they...

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

You can convert the BCD to decimal/base 10 with a couple of cheap chips. It's been done on some fab threads. Google around FV-1 BCD. I don't think a program toggle footswitch would be hard either. A basic BCD counter should do it. As far as the LEDs,.probably best to simulate it or prototype it...

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

AVDD in the datasheet Reading between the lines a little because they sure don't spell it out.

On the Arachnid PCB, do the 914's have to be 914's?

40-70 mA for the FV1 alone though .. I'd probably spec up the regulator to be safe. Plenty of 200mA out there for a few cents more. I suspect the analog signals of 0.5V in the datasheet would cover the switching so there probably enough voltage left after the LEDs to work.

May push the L78L33 near its limit of 100mA

Unless you want to run a strobe bulb off you guitar signal. + Tranfo Wait! You peddle 9v pedals with huge caps in them.

DOD 250 OVERDRIVE type pedal I’m trying to recreate. Need insight

2sc20 subs in 1963: 2Nl409A,2Nl4lOA,2Nl507,2Nl679,2Nl680, 2N2087,2N2192,2N2192A,2N2194,2N2194A But, Fairchils didn't make 2SC20 as far as I can find (or any 2SCxx as those were mostly Japan models) so it's likely a BC208/9 B/C 208s are pretty common I bet if you look up other wren and cuff...

A 0.3 or 0.5mm stainless flat washer will do the same and look way better. Cheap as chips from the big rock candy mountain.

DOD 250 OVERDRIVE type pedal I’m trying to recreate. Need insight

Oh. It's wren and cuff Phat Phuk variant into a 250 probably. Even has a "girth" switch. Trimmer is "drive"

DOD 250 OVERDRIVE type pedal I’m trying to recreate. Need insight

May be a 2SC20(SC20) Which is a npn si Led/ge Asym clipping. The BJTs are probably input and output boost/buffers or a 2 transistor fuzz. Hard to say without seeing traces. What's the trimmer for?

SWITCH-CRAFT (got any creative uses of switches?)

I think you could potentially have some weird loading issues. Also, any time based fx on the hx will bleed over. Might be cool as a tails option, but if you flip back to the HX, there's the reverb/delay from the last riff ... I was thinking on this early today but couldn't gather my thoughts. I...
