SOLVED Flock no sound/led when engaged

OK! This was a good lead. Even though I had 9V at the power input there was nothing at the 5817 diode. I ended up jumping a wire from the 9V to the diode and VIOLA. The LED lit up and there was _some_ sound. Bad trace? However, I don't think its the correct sound. I tried twiddling all the knobs...

SOLVED Flock no sound/led when engaged

Was excited to finally build this board after collecting the parts. I have the original board without the breakout for the rotary. Bypass works, but no sound or LED when I engage the switch. I saw a recent post with a similar issue so I tried all the things suggested there. The switch is wired...

    Moonshot Tremolo Gain

I think it was the cheap LDR I got, but I ended up swapping the value of R3 for a 330K and that seemed to boost the gain a bunch. Thanks!

    Moonshot Tremolo Gain

I've had a mostly working Moonshot Tremolo on my bench for a while now and though 'It Works' with the gain knob at max it is still quieter than unity. This might be normal (?) but seems weird with two op-amps in there. I'm guessing there's some R value I can tweak somewhere or maybe tweak the...

    Peachtree Overdrive

I was VERY anxiously/excitedly awaiting this release as I've been doing a lot of slide and wanting to try to capture that "Duane" sound. I'm not going to say I've come even close but this pedal was a really fun build and I had a good time decorating it. The boost doesn't seem to do much but I...

    Neurocyton Preamp - Greer Soma

The simplest way is to clip your ground onto the pedal's ground and then the test (other side) of the DMM to the drain of the JFET. JFET leads are labeled D (Drain) S (Source) G (Gate). Search online for the pinout of the JFET you're biasing. Set the DMM to voltage measurement and then adjust...

Flock Harmonizing Fuzz - Arriving Soon!!!

I have an original but got the right switch so I'm ok. Would love a drill template, though!

    Caesar Chorus no effect

OK! Long delayed update. Thanks to @Bio77's advice I got a multimeter with a Hz function and tested the clock chip and whoa! it was way off - reading 300-400khz. I had a feeling these MN3 chips I got off ebay were faulty but i had (wrongly) assumed it was the 3207 not the 3102. I noticed...

Unfortunately my multimeter doesn't have a Hz function. Will see if I can borrow one.

    Caesar Chorus no effect

Hey Y'all First: a shoutout to everyone here who has posted before - searching this forum has helped solve numerous issues in the past couple of months as I've (re) picked up a pedal building addiction after a 20-year hiatus. I've read up on other Caesar Chorus problems and tried a bunch of...
