Another thought I had, all of my bottom row pots are hard pressed up against the board, though they all do have plastic dust caps on them. Would this be of any concern?

I followed your suggestion and changed my input jack to shielded wire, no change in the whistle. Would you recommend I try the output as well or would that not really matter?

So, I changed out the input wire for a shielded wire. Grounded the shield to the Jack and insulated it with tape. Unbound the power wires. Fixed up a couple soldering joints etc. unfortunately zero change at all, is there anything that sticks out to you on these photos? Appreciate your eye here

Hmmm so this is my problem right now, one of my footswitch wires is soldered onto the top instead of through the hole (desoldering could not get rid of the previous botched wire I mounted in there). I'm wondering if this is the problem. I may also buy a bag of heat shrink to really insulate as...

Hah, actually I had two tabs open. The Triangle build report and this one, both have backwards transistors and didn't realise I'd only read one of the build reports (evidently the one that doesn't mention why the transistors are backwards), thanks for pointing that out

Hey @MichaelW , coming in with a beginner question here. I noticed your transistors are installed backwards, i bought the 2N5088 from Tayda, are yours a different type of transistor which is why they're installed backwards or should I be following suit?
