I've found that installing a 100k or 1M resistor to ground the input and/or the output helps with the leaking Caps. I usually put them directly onto the footswitch PCB. Note that some design already have them so that's not a 100% applicable solution.

I guess the only way to make it like a real "change" would be to add a very "bright" color to a "faded" one.

Don't want to "challenge" you but I've had my take on this built 6-7 times already and they all sounds great, beefy and way enough gain. Are you sure that all components are of the good value ?

I use 1590XX for all my "double build". More space for footswitching also. But it's interesting. Let us know ! :)

Have you tried a different Power Supply ? Daisy-chaining with other pedal helps sometime. I've had trouble with isolated power supply, maybe try a standard one. Also, some amp are very sensitive (Fender Hot Rod are very sensitive with my Sea Machine chorus...).

I've built some of this clone and don't find them "harsh" at all. It's a nice "colourful clean boost" and it goes well into a little more violent distorsion. Good luck ! :)

This schematic works so nicely. Same thing as the "real deal".

Just turn down the two middle knobs and you'll get a tone more like a classic Chorus. :) Sounds great.

I "regularly" break some PCB while working them... The trace are very fragile and using the iron near those pads may break them. It takes another level of diagnostic here since you need to trace where your signal is lost...

The whole software is way better in Silhouette Studio. We've tried the Cricut for a month. Overall, the vinyl cutting is the same than the Silhouette, but the whole process of working with the software is much complete with Silhouette.

My girlfriend is doing all my design with a Silhouette machine (which seems to work better for her with her sticker work). It's the same as the cricut and makes very nice decal. I like the "semi-pro" look, which still seems to be made by hand, but a little resistant to the stressful life of a...
