I just socket the transistors and try various combos until it sounds good to me. I still don't own a transistor tester but I can see that it'd probably be nice to have! That germanium and silicon combo didn't have noise with the fuzz knob maxed out and sounded a bit smoother.

I built one recently that sounds great with a mp38a and a bc549b.

I jumpered to r15 which I think is right.

I messed up the pad so that it won't take solder anymore while desoldering on the left hand side of C5 on the pendulum tremolo. Where should I add a jumper wire to?

My sproing is doing the same thing. It just mutes the signal. No reverb going on here. Not sure what the problem is.
