Octagon is just an Arachnid board with an EEPROM.
Arachnid has no EEPROM included, so you'd have to order one of the existing ones, or get the custom one (or create your own programs).
This is the one I have, and it is good for me. I like the tone and level controls because I can filter out some of the highs for a deeper sounding chorus and make it pretty subtle.
I haven't built a chorus yet, but I have a Sea Horse PCB waiting to be built.
it will depend on the circuit and the role of the cap in that circuit to know how important it is, but you can definitely add capacitors in parallel to get the value you need.
