    Understanding VRef

Obviously, but I am talking about the vast majority of pedals. In that case it wouldn't be "virtual" ground either really.

Curds and whey distortion added to a better overdrive?

Well the Timmy soft clips a signal that already has less voltage gain than the prunes and custard, of course it won't be as loud... You might want to increase the amount of boost that the second stage of the Timmy adds. Else how about trying with an LM386 for an input stage?

    Understanding VRef

Vref provides basing to half the supply voltage. It's needed because most op amps are basically built for bipolar power, but 9V batteries and standard power supplies only give single supply. Therefore you create Vref and bias the amp in-between 9V and 0V (ground) using a voltage divider.

    RAT vs RAT2

In what kind of way? Also what kind of Rats and Rat2s are we talking about? Clearer in what way? Does adjusting gain and filter mostly get you in the same ballpark? Using your ears, not eyes that is. In general Rats with the OP07 sound a bit more clearer, but they also have a midrange thing that...

Texas Instrument doc "Tone Stack for Guitar Amplifier Reference Design"

That's just an absolute standard Marshall style tonestack with a boost in front, going directly into a buffer. This will only work this way with a bipolar power supply as pictures, else the tonestack needs to go to vref instead of ground or you need an additional coupling cap and bias resistor...

These aren't vital signs, this is confirmed death.

    Mofeta - cascading channels?

I don't see how they would help to modify the circuit to do so at all I'm afraid. Making the two input stages switchable from parallel to series will require some more complex switching. If you want an easy solution to add more gain, just add a JFET booster, SHO or even LPB-1 to the front end...

    Mofeta - cascading channels?

Looking at the schematics, you can't do that, they are connecting at the inputs, not at the end of the respective input stage.

    Mofeta - cascading channels?

I'm not aware you could without modifications.

    B side fuzz schematic mismatch??

You have 470K in both 470K and 470R spots which I assume is the issue.

    Valhalla Distortion

Actually it works best running 15V into it, but 12V is pretty close, 18V might give you some heat buildup. The power supply on this thing is kinda stupid. It regulates the input voltage to 12V and then inverts it for ~24V of headroom. The issue here is that the voltage regulator needs to run...

    The amazingly versatile Mofeta board

Since the Model T, Bassman and Supergroup (plus some others) are basically the same preamp with some minor changes, it would be easy enough to adapt the Mofeta in those directions. Sexond to last clip sounds cool, the high gain clips sound like a Line 6 POD to me though.

School me on the EQ section of the pathogen distortion

It's about perceived bass, which in guitar tone is really about the 100-250Hz area. What you see here is a passive James tonestack. It doesn't boost bass, it cuts frequencies by shelving at a certain corner frequency. Putting in the values of the Pathogen into a tone stack calculator you will...
