    [Sheepylove] Lamb Flaps

Sharing a play piece I made over the last few months and just boxed up. Pedal building (and playing in general) is way down right now due to other priorities, but I have been able to scrape this one together. I love Chuck's GeFet Boost (the Texel is my boost of choice), so I took the design and...

    A bunch of builds

Thanks for catching that! I have had a few things from GPCB and they have all been great!

    NPN vs PNP

To add my 2c, I have had good success "flipping" circuits for negative ground. Basically, anything with a polarity needs to be reversed. Generally, the circuits you do this on are not extremely complicated. Charge pumps are great, but..

    The Gatordrive

This was a nice one to verify. I didn’t plan on boxing it, so I soldered the 3PDTs with right angle connectors (for build speed). Needless to say, I regret that and will have some desoldering to do when I’m back from holiday!

Library options? And a couple other noob thoughts

The font in the SL library is Milk Run, if you don’t have it installed then that’s the outcome.

circuit layout with charge pump best practices

I'm not an electrical engineer (EE), but the guidance I found was to keep power separate from audio, especially where charge pumps are involved. Similar with signal generation (ie. LFO). How relevant it is, well that's a different story.

This Week on the Breadboard: Gator's OD - cb mod

I must admit, the eyes look pretty good. I'm not usually a fan, but you've got a great implementation here!

Library options? And a couple other noob thoughts

I haven’t updated the Sheepylove library in forever because I use KiCad now, but if anyone wants to talk libraries I’m always happy! (Though this current phase of life is “challenging”)

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Aren't the resdef / values on the wrong sides? Ie. you need values on the front for population, and the rear for troubleshooting. Lovely layout, a lot of work/experience in that one!

PedalPCB Splendiferous Overdrive (Mad Professor Royal Blue Overdrive)

I just noticed that you have holes for the spacers on the jacks! That's a really nice detail (which I would like to steal.. err.. I mean copy). It's these little things..

    Bring out yer Diptrace

It's a great layout. The only thing I could think to improve mine was to make the 5V an IO pad as well, in case you need it for some reason.

    Ginormous fuzz

Something about a mouse dating an elephant… Nice build!

    Bring out yer Diptrace

The SMD version: https://jlcpcb.com/parts/componentSearch?searchTxt=C126744 B3GA4.5Z B3G and B4G are the same in different dimensions. I got my layout of your smart IO in and verified. It's a nice little package. I have to play with components to remove extended parts (4x at present), but I'm...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Something I've been toying with on the breadboard. A GeFet boost with additional gain stages.

    SOLVED Deofol--my other problem child

You’re not using any material between the pots and the PCB?

    SOLVED Deofol--my other problem child

. Check the SPDT toggle switches are not shorting against the pots. I had to put something in between them on my build. It’s a tight one, control wise.

SOLVED Angry Charles - little to no sound

Time to break out the audio probe.

    Bring out yer Diptrace

And one more which was sitting around for weeks now. A dual 3PDT footswitch with 3PDT order switch. Made for 1590BB portrait. Did you know that 3PDT toggle switches have different pin spacings than 3PDT footswitches? Not that it could be confusing or annoying to find out the hard way..

    Bring out yer Diptrace

@PedalBuilder really got me interested in his smart IO board so I rigged up my own: Harder to make this work with basic parts from JLCPCB, so the cost is higher than Chuck's basic relay, but the cost is worth the convenience. Still waiting to verify, but if I did it right (and I often don't)...

    Modded Tone Bender Mk. III

Nice! I enjoy the TB3 with an AMZ tone control (a la DAM FS-77). It's my favourite Fuzz.
