Mind you I don’t know if there’s any electrical engineering logic in the way I do things!

    Plz Critique My Layout

There’s a one press shortcut to refill. I find using ground fill to make the layout zen easier- the only difficulty sometimes is separating digital ground or noisy leds from signal. But it means side one can be main traces, side two when you can’t get around something and then fill to see the...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

I woild expect (Cost of package + cost of postage) + tarrifs + processing fee. If it’s a set fee it will be a way to make the low value stuff simple to process and be on the package, not the number of items.

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

£135 for duty - but our tarrifs are generally quite low - it’s the VAT charges that can be a pain. So the £50 worth of good, with I dunno £15 postage becomes £78 - plus the £12 or whatever that the courier charges. So £90… (oh and £65 I paid to the supplier was charged in US$ so somehow...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

I was trying to pull out positives! It is a pain when it comes to our specialist electrical components, but not more broadly. Even if it costs more to do it at the border if the spend on clothes switched from disposable stuff from some gamefied e-commerce shop to shop at the mall that and the...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

It’s not all crazy, there’s good logic in removing the minimum value before tarrifs apply - but while it’s good for the economy in total it’s not so great for hobby pedal builders. I imagine what will end up happening is something like for me over in UK where it's simpler and not much more to...

didn't the majority of you guys in the US vote for this? It will not let me post that GIF of Homer Simpson backing into a hedge, so you're just going to have to imagine it. Sorry

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

It's not that complex. If your parts from China previously cost you $100 shipped, you now will be charged $100 by your vendor. On import the US Gov will charge you a percentage the cost - so 34% tariffs mean your order goes up to $134 (plus normally an admin fee to whoever is collecting the...

    Warwick Hellborg preamp transformer question

So this is the input board XLR to transformer - mono Jack to IC201 to get to mic level … Then the relay is to switch between them - what’s the stuff on the right hand side for? Power to the relay? The +0v and -0v is something I’ve not seen before!

    Warwick Hellborg preamp transformer question

Haufe make one of the transformer options for the Bo Hansen Di and silent arts sell them on for €40 plus shipping (plus VAT) - I imagine this will be similar costs … plus whatever tarriffs we are going to see in the next few days…
