are you not using top mounted jacks? is the problem that you drilled the 1/4" jack holes too close to the bottom of the enclosure?

i don't understand what the issue is. i have pancake plugs and there is no problem with the pedal height.

myw are my initials, but my ancestors are indeed mostly welsh/scotch. so that was an inspired guess.

any developments on this one?

its not a big deal to use 1/4w, they fit fine. just takes a smidge more attention. im not sure why the board is so small though. seems unnecessary.

by "hand pick" do you mean just socketing them and doing trial and error? or is there some kind of quantifiable test i can do beforehand

Hiss and white noise. just a higher noise floor. the voices are comforting during self-isolation. and cheaper than cable.

Someone wanted to buy the last one I built so I had to make another one for me. My brain is basically nothing but memes.

I found an original FZ2 at a garage sale for 10 bucks, then flipped it on Reverb for $300. I liked it so much I had to get another one on the cheap.

Careful soldering should theoretically be enough to avoid problems - perhaps you don't *need* to clean your boards. But why skip this step? Takes about a minute. Think of it like brushing your teeth. Saving a few minutes but ruining your mouth is silly.

In case anyone is interested I made a demo of this. The only demo of it w good audio is Andy's from PGS, and as good as he is, every pedal sounds about the same to me in his hands. I mostly wanted to see how this cheap 115 combo I picked up records/takes pedals, but I'll be damned if this pedal...

I had a package get stuck in transit, and I asked them about this because my package was stuck on a boat and yet had originated in CO. I think the Colorado location is some kind of way of circumventing tariffs or something. I don't believe they ship anything from there, but I could be wrong.

The original flux drive uses a center detent pot. Anyone have a way to source them for this build?
