And, fyi, I believe I used a med decay BTDR-2h from Stompboxparts.com. Somewhere I read a post buried in this forum it was a med decay. I see now the build sheet calls out a long. For what its worth, the medium is fine, the decay times are 2.5 sec vs 2.85. Im very pleased with the end result...

Tayda here I come! From charts Ive seen 1.7-2 is pretty ballpark. I have some 1.57v if that matters much at all.

Ive also discovered the NPN J201's from 2 different Chinese eBay vendors recently. One was actually an electronics peddler.
