    SOLVED Electrovibe - Deadish?

I think we should concentrate on his voltage readings for his LT1054CP (This is a charge pump btw, not the voltage regulator, although the LT1054 does have a regulator built within it). For example, his regulated output voltage (Pin 5) is 8.95 volts.

Parentheses, Ungula, Spirit Box, Dark Rift.

Phasma888, was the parentheses octave setting very noisy? Like you’re in a wind tunnel? I’m very interested in minimizing that noise on my builds too. Hoping you have some helpful advice based on the history of your build. Beautiful, beautiful pedals btw. Steve.

2-in-1 Pedal Wiring: How Are They Able to Share Power?

Your cumulative theory is correct, but remember that current draw for each pedal will increase and decrease depending on what the pedal is doing. Want to turn on that LED? Your current usage for that pedal just went up. Want to switch on that feedback loop which activates an optical circuit...

2-in-1 Pedal Wiring: How Are They Able to Share Power?

The current draw can be measured on any pedal. https://stinkfoot.se/measure-current-draw

Russian Halo / Big Muff Civil War

Awesome job. I am just starting to gather the parts needed for this very same build. I think authentic is the way to go. Loving the vibe on this one. 👍🏻

    Parentheses noise floor

I’m really pleased with the distortion + boost. Low noise floor and powerful sound. When I switch on the octave though, the noise is significant.

    Thermionic od(first build here)

Really clean work. It took me a year to get to this level. Awesome.

Soldado / Active EQ from PCB Guitar Mania

Try installing the trimmer first. Then go from there based on your results.

    Parentheses noise floor

Does the original have this noise issue when octave is engaged? Can anyone else who has built a parentheses chime in on their experience with the octave switch/noise level? Much appreciated.....

Soldado / Active EQ from PCB Guitar Mania

I took a look at the schematic over at the other website. What made you omit the character trimmer? You have the trimmer jumpered from pin 2 to pin 3, but the circuit leading to pin 1 is left hanging. I believe this may be the source of your problems. I would replace the green jumper with...

Soldado / Active EQ from PCB Guitar Mania

The two outer lugs of the pot will always remain constant. Say you are measuring a 100K linear pot. The two outer lugs will always show approx 100kohm. What you need to do is measure the wiper (middle lug) with lug 1. At 20% rotation, it should measure approx 20kohm. At 40% rotation approx...

    Parentheses noise floor

I just built two of the Parentheses. Rat side=dead quiet. Rat+boost = dead quiet. Click on the octave switch and I’m in a wind tunnel! This is on both my builds. I’m using Fv matched 1N34a and matched D9E diodes for my germanium section.

How to Bypass Burned Out PCB IN on Duo Phase

Hi. It happens to the best of us. I want you to take a look at the colorful pcb in the build documents. If you look at the input hole (which is no good per your definition) and follow the trace to the very next part it leads to C1 which is the 100nf capacitor. If you can attach a wire from...

    Kliche Mini build gone wrong

I like all your IC voltages except for Pin 1 on IC 2. That should be approx 4.5volts. Can you double check that? You get that nice ~27volt separation between pin 8 (17v) and pin 4 (-9v) on IC 2. Something is choking off your AC output. This is usually a wrong resistor or some unwanted short...

    Kliche Mini build gone wrong

Hi Garrett. Welcome. I looked over your board and nothing glaring popped out at me (love the yellow cap) 😉. I will say testing a circuit outside of the box can sometimes be disorienting. Make sure you are plugging the in jack to the guitar and the out jack to the amp. I didn’t check all the...

    Muffin Factory -Anyone Built This?

I purchased this off a guy over at DIYstompboxes about 7 years ago. Always waited for the perfect circuit. The only downside is that it’s steel and cutting out that square was no fun! 🤬

    Muffin Factory -Anyone Built This?

I’m definitely telling him now. I love stressing him out. 🤣 I love mine, but I just randomly switch stuff and play. 👍🏻

Please Recommend Parentheses Octave Diode Options

The popular solution is to use 2 germanium diodes with matching Forward voltage. 1N34a and 1n60 are my favorites. Interestingly, Mark Hammer talks about using Schottkeys in the Foxx Tone Machine circuit..... https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=115951.0 I‘ve always used the...
