This Week on the Breadboard: OKKO Diablo v3

I had an Okko Diablo way back and quite liked it. I remember it being very good if a little polite. I tried building one when Robert first came out with a PCB but couldn't get it to work - probably the only pedal I have had not work from here. I'd love to build a working one. Mr @szukalski if...

    Simply an Angry Andy

The boost looks like a TS with preset gain and tone.

This Week on the Breadboard: The Beast

The treble control Chuck says was good enough was actually designed by Chuck for a previous circuit I was working on! It works far better than the original BJF control. But then when Bjørn designed it the treble control was part of a "nature" control... This isn't a pedal for everyone. It...

    Flank/Bombastortion ERROR

I have a bunch of red LEDs which are backwards. Confused the hell outa me for ages. Every time I used them I had problems. I guess if you make a gazzilion of anything there will mistakes sometimes.

    Mesa Boogie Bass 400+ Preamp

That's amazing! Wow. The only thing I would have done differently is to use chassis mounted tube sockets and flown them to the PCB but really that's just quibbling.

    Repair Boss power supply cable

Really the best way would be to open it up, pull the cable through into the enclosure and chop off the chewed up bit so you can resolder fresh bits to the inside or however it's secured. Most electronics stores or maybe even autoparts stores should have the right screwdriver. I mainly use...

Anyone ever clear coat polished aluminum?

My main issue with polished enclosures is that I can see me in them. Yuck!

    DEMO Ragin' Cajun-sheepylove/GotA joint production

And Mr Guardian appears to have done a pretty decent job too. :ROFLMAO:

    DEMO Ragin' Cajun-sheepylove/GotA joint production

@szukalski is an unsung - well maybe undersung, or worth singing about more - star of this forum. He has designed gerber files of a few of my hamfisted mods/designs with excellent results. I think we all need to bear in mind that he is operating under a fairly severe handicap of being from New...

Tommy III - slightly less scooped?

You could experiment by changing C3 to 56nF or 68nF too.

    Metal Can Rat

Even Robert would be jealous of that. Symmetry at its finest. If I had built a Rat that tidy I would call it ART.

    Strap-mounted Treble Booster

It probably is! It's excellent. A bit noisy but for me it nails that sound. Mind you I'm not using a Vox or a Brian May guitar. He won't give me his.

I had no idea a fully open morning glory looked like a dog. Unless that is a dog. In which case I'm glad you didn't show his morning glory.

    Strap-mounted Treble Booster

I don't know where I got this from, but of all the "Brian May Treble Boosters" I have tried this one sounds the closest to me. Is the circuit anything like yours?
