Hey everyone, I mentioned this in response to a build report but wanted to get some more in depth help here if possible. The preamp sounds like it should, but on higher settings with the switch set to High there's a "whine" that dominates the sound. I switched out 3 different each of charge...

hm, ok this isn't a hiss, here's the frequency response on high toggle, with the gain all the way up: to me that's something different; i tried three different chips of both ICs, no change at all in sound. it's not the end of the world, but it's living rent free in my head.

I finished this the other week and am getting a high pitched whine with the switch on high; is that what you were facing or a different kind of noise? very curious what your homegrown fix is!

the rack mount is incredible, long term I'm very interested in studio gear so this is good motivation for me.

I just finished this an hour ago, I had the trim all the way up and it sounded too distorted. When I get home I'll try that spot. Enclosure looks awesome! Here's mine...
