I think all dirt pedals should have a bass control and this one is an excellent example of why. I made a Skreddy Major OD as well and treated it in a similar way to this one. It's a very similar circuit. The Major OD has a slightly more Marshall flavour - well worth trying.

The Pitbull and Scarab Deluxe are very similar. I used to prefer the Pitbull but the last Scarab Deluxe I built worked out really well. They're both excellent.
