There are good high-temperature anti-seize products out there, and I use them on my iron and have no issues. I bought a tube eons ago, and it lasts a lifetime. This is just the result from a quick search, it's way more than you need - I include it only to note that stuff like this exists...

OK, the SiGe diodes arrived, so here's the data taken by my Peak DCA-75. I show 2 plots: 1. I(ma) vs V(V) on a linear plot 2. I(ma) vs V(V) on a semilog plot Plus I attach the raw data as a text file, for folks that might want to plot it themselves or add it to their own data collection. Cheers!

You want a 5mm lead spacing, and a voltage rating of ≥25V for a 9V pedal, and maybe ≥35-50V for an 18V pedal. Odds are that giant cap is rated for high voltage (say 100s of V) and/or high capacitance (say >1µF) - both factors increase the size. Note added: I usually get film caps with voltage...

Just curious - hence 2 questions: 1. You're sure that your Bias trimpot is 50K, and not something smaller? 2. Is your J201 from a quality vendor (PPCB, Mouser, Digikey, Stompbox Parts, etc), or is it from something like Amazon/eBay? I.e., any chance it is something different (aka, a 'fake')?

Definitely! E.g., Analog Devices's LTspice is 100% free and pretty easy to use (the GUI can be a bit painful/awkward at first putting down & connecting the components, but you get used to it pretty quickly). But it's very well documented, and they continue to regularly issuing software updates...

Another SiGe diode from Nexperia is the PMEG200G20ELRX, similar characteristics but 2 amp diode. When my PMEG150G10ELRX diodes arrive, I'll try to remember to measure them and post the I-V curves here.

I think this is saying that this tariff bingo is a huge mess for DHL as well. E.g., they might not have the requisite storage space for all the packages that get held up as the customer decides whether to pay or not.

@Feral Feline - thanks for that link. So it's subtle, and more audible w/ transistor shifts in last stages. And it might include peripheral issues such as unintentional bias changes when swapping transistors. So I need to play around, clearly.
